4 in a row...two blowout losses to a mediocre team and a cellar dweller followed by a loss to anteam who not only went 2-10 the previous year they lost to Furman the next week..dig deeper dork. Comparing Pruiit to any successful coach is what is delusional.

You can’t scream for Pruitt to be fired and in the same breath say that Tee getting a shot to be HC makes absolutely any sense at all just bc he played at UT. Dig deeper? Are you that stupid? That’s my whole point.. Saban was not successful yet but according to you bozo’s that know so much about football he never would have been successful bc y’all would have fired him his 2nd season. Log off of volnation. Turn on NCAA Football 2014 and pretend you know about coaching and hire Tee to run your program. That’s the only way he’s ever gonna be HC at Tenn. CLOWN.

If he was the head coach, we would likely be win less for two years. He is a really good recruiter, but has yet to show he is even an average coach. We had one of those back in the early 1990s and won a National Championship with the players he recruited. He is still an assistant coach at Auburn and is still an outstanding recruiter.

Just accept it guys. Pruitt sucks and we are stuck with him for a while. Just lower expectations and find something else to do on Saturdays.

Let's put emotions aside and think rationally. Just because someone played the game doesn't mean they are coach material, just because someone has come back to their alma mater in some form or capacity to teach position groups does not mean they are ready to HC material either. It is possible to be a good head coach having never played, case in point: many within the forum would love to have Mike Leach and rightfully so because look what he has accomplished with less talent. Most would argue he is a great coach and he is, the truth is he never played college ball in his life, he was a lawyer. Tee Martin will always be loved by TN for all he has done but make no mistake the honeymoon would end if he couldn't turn it around. I am for letting JP get his guys in and seeing where we are after year 3. I think many are in denial about how short of talent we really are.

Tee would bring to the H.C. job the most slender credentials since Hammy hired the boy with the famous last name. What the hell is up with this in-breeding obsession? We tried it with the Lady Vols. It didn't work the first time and now we're about to relearn that lesson with a second go-around. It's like asking for the second kick of a mule.

The problem with almost ALL coaching today is the complete lack of a succession plan. A competent AD would insist on a certain number of coaches on staff learning the Tennessee Way (or whatever) so that there is long term consistency.

Coaches have taken advantage of this via elevated salaries. And unless UTAD take a stand and develop coaches, you’re in an endless cycle of paying ever more ...

Lane successfully destroyed his career by leaving UT. And I think he would agree with that.

But everyone loves the story of a second chance ... their Seabiscuit. Personally, he has an exciting brand of football that would make UT relevant. But UT will never hire him.

No way! Pruitt has more football knowledge in his big toe than Tee has in his head. If Pruitt wasn't ready for the HC job I don't see ANYTHING Tee has done to suggest he is ready. Nope NO WAY!

look at them, look at tee. this is why there are so many no's. the man is our last national title qb and still gets zero respect from quite a few. living in ky, it is just like when tubby led ky to the 98 basketball title and yet still got no love from a group of cats fans.
