When is the last time that you guys were in Neyland?

Lucky for me it was the Wyoming game. Im not trying to be negative about anything God forbid, its just a simple desire for me of pride of my school to be the best, not sit on you're laurels and realize the rest of the conference is always trying to catch up with you. The renovations at Gainesville are impressive im not going to lie, but the one advantage we have is the atmosphere inside and outside Neyland and it shouldnt be hard to draw off that and add to the strong visual base for future generations to enjoy. Even Wrigley and Fenway have had to update and compete with the state of the art stadiums .

Nothing negative taken. It is just a personal preference and matter of taste. There is no right or wrong answer. I go into Gate 1. Quite frankly, it leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like that side of the stadium was built around an old building. It does not bother me. I just look at it as part of the history and charm of the old place. I don’t see that side being addressed by the renovations.

Very true, im sure there is a faction of people that would like to see a swimming pool water slide combo added on each side of the end zone. I was up in Ann Arbor about 6 weeks ago and they have stripped down almost the whole outside decor of the big house, looks like they are adding some box seats, so guess that's the thing to do around college football right now.

UT's stadium and surrounding area is much better than UFs. That stadium is pretty small compared to UT and doesn't have the scenery. Plus, UT chicks are a lot hotter than all these beach type chicks at UF.

Yes!! The younger generation is too quick to condemn the past. Bristol had some beautiful buildings we will never see again due to the crap called modernization. There hasn't been a pretty edifice built in 50 years.

I disagree with both statements

As far as architecture goes, usually the public either likes or is ambivalent to the building for the first 10-20 years of it's existance, hates it for the next 60, then loves it and declares it a gem. For example, through the '90 most polled Knoxvillians thought the Sunsphere should have been torn down, now a slight majority think it should be preserved.

I still miss the old style. Screw a bunch of glass and chrome. The Sunsphere is iconic. We won't see a World's Fair again in our lifetime. It stays!!
