Give our team a chance! The season just started. We have along way to go and a great coach to get us there! Rome wasn't built in a day! We as TN fans have lived through season after season of crapy coaching don't you guys think it will take a little bit to turn it all around. Give coach Pruitt a chance and the team sometime, or as usual the big mouth, instant gratification, football wanna-bes will run off a guy who truly wants to get TN back to our football tradition! Watch and see!

I dig it. Agree totally. But was sure we’d seen more improvement than what we saw today. Most times a coaching change gets a small bump in performance but other than a few guys I just didn’t see it. Worrisome

The last two coaches said the same things only different way. Still too early to tell what the coaches will be. It sounds like Pruitt may have a challenge he’s never had very often...making winners out of proven losers.

Chastising a fan base that has lived through nearly two decades of ineptness is never a good decision. Lane Kiffin was supposed to be the savior, he wasn't and neither were Derek Dooley or Butch Jones. We have been told to be patient and we have. Patience can only be a fall back when actual good results can be pointed to at some point after being patient. Patience cannot be eternal.

Defense was definitely worse than I expected... and I was pessimistic about this season. Of course, I thought our offense showed some potential today, once the OL got their heads out of their rears.

I'd add that most fans pick and choose very early who they want other fans to be patience with. If Dooley and Jones were allowed 2 to 3 years its disingenuous to talk about patience after 1 game with Pruitt.

You are comfortable with losing , I envy you.

I don’t have the energy to manufacture optimism anymore. I’d rather see something from the coaches/team that creates it automatically.
Honestly I did see some coaching influences for the positive tonight but what I did s as a lack of talent and speed on defense. That can’t be coached up

I am far from calling for his head. I thought the last hire was critical for rejuvenating this program, the administration whiffed that chance. Recently I was hoping good coaching alone could turn things around, nope. I was expecting us to look competent at minimum but did not see much outside of QB and running back. They pretty much threw us around on the line of scrimmage. I will not attack the coach unless he loses to Vandy. That is my line in the sand.

I don't disagree, but we do not know yet if we have a great coach or not. Time will tell.
