It's time to accept one major truth about Tennessee HC Rick Barnes
To paraphrase
“I’m not saying fire Barnes but we’re not winning anything with him. Hey it’s almost time for baseball “
Texas fired Barnes because he didn’t bring home an NCAA championship. As with Texas, Barnes has the Vols winning every season, being ranked, and in the Big Dance. Barnes is 68. White should be planning for a successor, but to “pull a Texas” has proven foolish. Don’t be Texas foolish. Be classy. Be savvy. Be Mister White.
You post like Peanuts parents. Barnes was fired because he repeatedly fell short of the championship, and Texas fans, boosters, and poobahs believed he wouldn’t ever get there. How has Texas roundball fared since?Barnes got fired because he did not get along with the new AD. The new AD wanted the program to be more corporate-like with changes in recruiting, a more modern offense, and more interaction with our dysfunctional booster base.
