I love it when people lose their mind over a few QB recruits. In three years, when whoever we sign turns out to be better than the majority of these guys people are on suicide watch over, it'll be fun to pull the "QB X committed to School Y, We're Doomed" threads.

I detest all of the people who get on here and act like they are attendees of this staffs recruiting strategy meetings. Nobody knows what their strategy and plan is for a QB, or any other position for that matter.

Just so long as we manage to avoid the "Why the hell did we ever sign this guy" threads but those are probably just as inevitable as the doom and gloom threads.

I've been telling people for weeks that we would get a much better QB than Scroggins in 2011, regardless of whether or not we get Scroggins. I've never been worried about it.

I don't care what they are rated, it would just be nice if we could at least get ONE QB commitment. When was the last time a JUCO QB lead an SEC team to a championship?

I'll go so far as to say that the QB at Clinton High School will go on to have a better college career than most of the guys we're fretting over. With the exception of Bell, and possibly Heaps, there aren't any sure things in this class.

Every one of the '10 verbal commits are just that.....VERBAL. They can't sign a LOI till what, February?? How many will change their minds between now and then......some of ours including. Plus, there will probably be a senior to be that will really jump ahead of some of these QB's we're trying to recruit this year. I'm going to just chill out, hope for the best for Crompton and Stevens, watch the coaches, and trust that they can get more from these guys than the last staff did. When you're as "down" as we are, there's only one place to go.......onward and upward.

I wonder why the staff hasn't offered that kid and they've offered just about everyone else?

I like all the QB scouts on here. They watch a highlight video and form an opinion. Highlight videos are HIGHLIGHTS, a true test of a QB is what they do when things go bad.
