haha I know it doesnt seem like a big deal because its not but he will be missed, he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is a very charismatic guy and was good with the recruits as they came in.

I was at the Mississippi State game with my dad and Gerald gave me a few extra tickets. I thought it was pretty nice and he seemed like a nice guy! Does anyone know where to apply for his job?

I believe he's the initial middle man between the coaches and schools/prospects, right?

in seriousness to that question, it should be infinitely easier to hack into a team's wireless headset operation than it would a wired one.

Couldn't they use digital encryption? Spread spectrum? something? I am not an expert on this but it seems ridiculous to use such outmoded technology. I know there are NCAA rules about having to turn off your headsets if the otehr team's headsets go out. Is it an NCAA issue?

i can't say the rules and all, but just about anything can be cracked. I can't say I've noticed a school using wireless. I don't look hard though. But you always see some poor student manager or someone else following the coach coiling and uncoiling the wire to the headset. It would seem that Verizon/Alltel/Cingular/Joe's Pub and Cell Service would all want their latest technologies on the field, yet you don't see it. There has to be an actual reason most use the old school headsets.
