The Show 11

my problem now is that with pitch speed 1 above default, i pull everything into the dugout. 2 above, i crank it to straight away cf

You guys are really making me want to buy this game. I'm afraid that it will attempt to suck my life away.

The problem is that between hitting and fielding, a rtts game takes 5-7 minutes. So "one more quick game" can turn into a very long time.

I had that problem last night. One more game turned into me playing 2 more hours of RTTS.

Simming through my second off-season right now. Still with the AAA Dodgers (Isotopes) and ended a one year contract. So lets see where I land. More than likely I will still be an Isotope...

Yep I am still an ISO... I got another one year deal for 141k. However it is still a bench role, and I was batting a .274 at the end of the season. I must have must have good competition.

This year is definitely more difficult at getting to the Show.

I had 6 errors in one game today. But I also had an inside the park HR. Eh... Call it a wash. The analog fielding is confusing as hell

That sucks, but get this..I'm in AA Frisco my first year tearing it up hitting .467 with 33 bombs and 78 rbis in 214 at bats all before the all star game. I'd always met my goals, but still not called up.

Finally, about 2 weeks before the all star break the Rangers trade Kinsler and purchase my contract from AA. I'm like awesome, I'm finally getting my chance. No, they called me up to be their utility infielder! WTH!? I go along with my role. I mean what choice do I have?

I do so by hitting .389 with 15 bombs and 43 rbis in 90 at bats. Meet all my goals, but they keep telling me my stats and skills aren't good enough for the next level. What gives?

I seriously have to question what the skill level is set on and/or how much he adjusted his slider. Maybe he purchased virtual steroids. I purchased some last year after my box was out for almost 3 months, but playing this year's game it is more fun working your way up. Of course if I question him is will be all legit...

Different strokes for different folks I guess. If you ask me, it's cheating at solitaire, no need to broadcast if you're not playing with appropriate sliders.

So I chalked my first week on RTTS and started up a new one, as I had figured out I was wasting lots of points on maintaining unimportant things before I had to, plus I had an epiphany when it comes to hitting.

I shrunk myself a little to 5' 10", to shrink my zone, though I don't think this plays an actual role as far as plate coverage goes. I'm a lousy SS, but it's fun to play, and I've gotten pretty good at slapping hard stuff the other way.

One thing I do love, is that when you dig in against someone who throws 98, there really isn't a whole lot you can do, other than decide to take, or let it rip.

Anyone having trouble, turn guess pitch ALL THE WAY OFF, after a few games you really start to get a feel for ball movement, where as with GP on you get tunnel vision, and are more inclined to swing at crap.

Going to try to play some more tonight before work. I keep switching between my SP (Red Rocket) and SS (Red Justice)

Smoke, since i read some about the hitting, I'm wrecking with my new rtts guy. The fact that I have a lineup with the biscuits where I have RBI opportunity chances helps as well.

One big thing is the more you strike out, the more **** they will throw you.

I have noticed that. I can be 3-0 at almost every at bat now since I was swinging like a dumbass.

I'm raking like .376 in may with my new SS. I Buckner about every hard hit ball towards me, so i need to fix that haha, i think I average an error every 3 games. If i don't boot it, i throw into the stands (achievement).

Last cycle i needed a HR, cracked a gapper so tried for in the park, if i knew how to blast the catcher I'd have got it, got tagged out sliding wide.
