I'm just wondering if anyone knows the contracts of these assistants?

Who has the biggest buy-out?

Who has a clause where they have to be retained?

I want to know who is the "safest"

No coaches have to be retained. Sal has the biggest buyout(Other than Dooley) at 1.8 million. If a new HC is named, I doubt any of them are safe.

If you Fire DD you have to let them all go. It was different with kiff because they needed LT and Jc to hold the team together. you cant leave leftovers and expect any credible coach to take the job.

If the stats are true then you have to think about keeping Chaney.
Ansley can stay.
Hinshaw(sp?) can stay
Graham can stay

Unless i am forgetting about someone the rest can pick up their last check.

I agee. The new head coach could consider interviewing them, but if the AD demands any coaches be kept, alot of coaches would not even consider the job. If you want the new coach to be held accountable....you can't force him to keep part of this losing staff.

Ansley? The DB coach can stay? Yikes!!

I would think Graham and Pittman would be the only ones considered for an interview for the new staff. JMO

I would say they all go with an outside shot of keeping graham and the only reason for him would be to keep a Ut guy on staff. but hey, I know nothing.

Chaney's buyout is guaranteed.

All other assistants buyouts are not guaranteed and they have to try and get new coaching jobs. When they do, their payout from UT would only be the difference between their new salary and the buyout..

I could look it up but getting ready to leave right now. I have copies of all contracts.

CDD's buyout is also guaranteed

i think they would try to keep Chaney, guaranteed money

Graham is just a killer running backs coach

not so sure about Ansley, his coaching spot,is one of the ones, where there is major problems at

Hinshaw a maybe, the receivers are improved as a group overall

Pittman has the OL looking great

of course it would all be dependent on who was signed as the HC and what they would want

Things have to be done correctly with allowing the new coach to decide upon assistant coaches. The problem with the assistants is that Sunseri will likely have a hard time finding a place after what he has done with the defense. A good coach will bring in added revenue and will put people back in the seats.

Puh-Lease! We need to hold on to Grahm and the OL coach at a minimum. Those are so much better than last year. I would even keep Chaney, the offense is great.

On the D side, maybe the DL coach but that's it.

Some continuity is needed. See last year, when we got rid of the entire D staff and how well that worked.
