1. Good job hammering an awful opponent. No need to mess around.
2. Interesting to see the Christian and Newsom families in the box above the tunnel UT enters through. I wonder who controls those seats.
3. Woolridge needs to find some of the arc Hopson lost off his jumper. They need a JUGS gun to time the velocity of his shot.
4. Thank goodness Kansas is coming to Knoxville. Otherwise, given the way the remaining opponents have started, the home nonconference schedule would be a total abortion.
5. I was surprised the crowd stayed as long as they did. Something about wanting to see the team get to 100 keeps people around.
6. I don't mean this negatively, but isn't it time for Aaron Green to get a real assistant job? How do you advance professionally without moving up the chain?
7. Georgetown still has problems. If they don't find some offense, this year won't be any better than last.
8. I have to hand it to Pearl. I certainly didn't think he'd get to 100 wins this fast.
9. Why does the dance team do the same routine to every song? Shouldn't the music dictate the dance?
10. When did Gordon Ramsey become UT's tennis coach? Our halftime shows continue to underwhelm.

Damn true. If one of those clears the backboard, which isn't all that unlikely, someone in the crowd is going to get seriously injured.

Had to listen to some of this on the radio - to hear Bob and Bert describe it, you would think that Bobby Maze has turned into the second coming of Gary Payton defensively. Any sign that Maze isn't going to be abused as much this year, Hat, or is Asheville simply too weak of an opponent to tell?

(by the way: listening to Bob trying to say "Goins" and instead saying "Gombs" is priceless)

Maybe their choreographer comes from the cotton eyed joe where they do the same line dance to country music, hip hop, and any other style of music they may decide to play. LOL

During breaks and timeouts, I like to scan section 103 and figure out which person is hatvol. It's like Where's Waldo, on the page where everyone in the crowd is dressed like him.

He does seem to have a much better grasp of his assignments this year. However, it's tough to judge how much he's improved against such vastly inferior competition. With Lewis Jackson out for Purdue, it may be some time before he faces a guard that can really challenge him off the dribble. Most likely, it'll be Goudelock or White for CoC.

Given the performance of Gergia, Alabama, Auburn, and MS State, I'll take this performance. Bruce has this team poised.

While I always appreciate a good solid attempt at shock value, I am not so certain that I would have gone with the terminated fetus as a way of emphasizing the charmin softness of our non-conference schedule.

I agree that there are a couple similarities between a terminated fetus and a weak schedule. Just maybe not the multitude of similarities that you're really gonna want when you drop a really effective analogy.

Our noncon is really that bad though.

Speaking of bad offenses, I watched UConn today. I took them on the moneyline, and my heart was beating out of my chest at the end of the game. Dyson is their offense -- their only offense. And while I do appreciate that he took it upon himself to ensure that I didn't lose 2600 dollars on that game, I will not be betting on UConn for the remainder of the year.

You can't cover spreads if you can't score. Fact.

What's up with Uconn? They have looked like trash so far this year.

I just don't think they are that good. I don't think UNC is that good, either.

These programs replace outgoing talented players with incoming players who are just as talented....but great players does not necessarily a great team make.

The machine requires lubrication. Or in the case of UConn, the machine needs someone not named Dyson to demonstrate some semblance of recognizable offensive basketball skills.

Hard to argue with any of this.

Our non con thanks to the early season tournament will look fantastic by March. We will probably have played Purdue, Memphis and Kansas. After watching Memphis I expect that they will be highly ranked by March. That means that TN will have played 3 highly ranked OOC opponents and TN will have played in a much improved SEC this year. A 1 seed if we can create 20+ turnovers a game is not out of the question.
