1. Jacqui Pearl is a very talented singer. She's certainly better than most of the screechers on the radio today.
2. Congratulations to Hallie King on winning the Naismith Sportsmanship Award. That's a very impressive young lady.
3. The crowd today was great. That's how you rally around your team.
4. Not sure what was being said between Kevin Stallings and Tony Jones at the 2 minute mark, but I'm sure it wasn't pleasant. It appeared like it was closing in on go time for those two.
5. Great, gritty, gutty win. That's the kind of fight we saw from Pearl's early teams.
6. Skyler McBee earned his scholarship today. His offense kept UT afloat until help arrived.
7. Jeff Taylor is going to be the next Bruce Bowen. His man did next to nothing offensively, regardless of who he was guarding.
8. That's the smartest game Scott Hopson has ever played at Tennessee. He realized he couldn't beat Taylor, so he waited for his opportunities to attack when someone else was covering him.
9. Now, the hard part is carrying that second half over to the road. The trip to Athens will be very telling.
10. That's the biggest shot Cam Tatum has made at Tennessee. A miss there and the season is in serious jeopardy.

Thanks for the reports as usual. These are especially helpful for those unlucky souls who have to work during the game.

Hat, this seemed like the game that could get the Vols back on track. Any opinions on whether they recover and make it to the tourney?

Great report as usual. What do you think was the problem in the 1st half?
This team just isn't very good offensively. They're going to have stretches like that. Just have to defend and hang in long enough to make a few shots.

Seems to me our subbing patterns are hindering getting in any type of rhythm early on.

This game could not have played out better for me. As someone who was born and raised in Nashville, I take a lot of pride in beating Vandy in basketball. I am glad that the Bell Meade appologists with their gold, tacky sweaters are crying right now at the country club.

No props for Brian Williams?

Without him we lose for sure. His toughness inside and rebounding was great. He also had a great spin move from the high post that I've never seen him use before.

I noticed on Game Day that some people were holding up signs featuring the face of Kevin from The Office. Now I get it.

Exactly my same thoughts.
