The SEC winning a NC

will only set UT back! I never cheer for the SEC. Those that do are lacking information. Our best hope is that a team from another conference wins the NC this year. Why would anyone that is a fan of UT want bama to win another NC? If bama wins we are second fiddle in recruiting again. I hate the SEC other that UT. Any thoughts?

I don't care who wins BCS Championship as long as it isn't Bama.

Sick to death of the tide and Saban

Maybe Gus can get it done in 2 weeks

It doesn't matter what you think or want, there is no team even close to Bama. At this point I hope Bama does win it and Saban realized it's no longer a challenge and pulls a MJ and tries out Baseball or Golf for a while

Kills me when people say they cheer for "SEC pride". Anything good for Alabama, Florida, Georgia or any other team is bad for Tennessee. For the most part all of those schools recruit the same players & that's just more ammo for them to recruit and less for us.

Everybody knows the SEC is the best conference in the country. It doesn't take another national championship to solidify that.

Bama winning another NC is NOT going to give them a significantly bigger advantage in recruiting than they have now. If you don't want Bama to win because you hate Bama, then that's reason enough for me. I feel the same way. My heart wants Bama to lose every game.

But my brain tells me that it's ultimately good for Tennessee when the SEC does well. More money, more prestige, more favorable treatment from pollsters, more positive national media coverage and a big (real) advantage over non-SEC schools in recruiting.

I'll be celebrating a Bama loss as much as anyone, if it happens. But that's because I'll be thinking with my heart and not with my head.

no. tennessee being good is good for tennessee, not any other sec team. if the entire conference were 0-12 our crystal ball would count no less

I disagree here the sec's strength is a selling point in recruiting and i will always pull for the sec with that said i wish it was another sec team winning the Titles.

If anything its a selling point to the teams that make it strong. Any benefits UT may receive by just being in the SEC is nullified by the strength of the conference continuing being just that.

our tradition is... even if it werent a selling point a majority of the great prospects come from the south and they cant all go to oregon if 8 of 12 teams sucked

I don't root for anyone besides Tennessee ... well, AND whatever team is playing Florida.

I want Alabama to go undefeated and win the NC in a blow out. Because hopefully Saban will get so bored that he either retires or moves to another conference. I realize Saban probably isn't going anywhere, but I can dream can't I?

The extent of my SEC fandom extends only to rooting for other teams if it will help Tennessee or hurt Alabama or Florida. For instance, I'm rooting for the Cocks tonight because they can keep Florida from being bowl-eligible (glorious).

There's also a few SEC players who I'll sometimes root for even though I don't care for their team. Johnny Manziel comes to mind, as well as Connor Shaw and possibly Aaron Murray. Can't help but love watching those guys play.

This all day long. I'm a Miss St. Fan tonight.

Will be a Auburn fan in 2 weeks.

Then, if bama beats Auburn I'm a USCe or Mizzou fan.

Then, its Fla St. Or whoever plays them in the NT game.

My dream consists of Bama losing...hope it becomes reality
