His eyes are on the Bama players and then he follows them up to the ball. Wow. I thought there was nothing to this until I watched the youtube. Now I see that indeed the ref pointed it out and looked like he may have even spoke to the bammers as he did it. Cody def had his helmet off while the ball was live and since the game cannot end on a defensive penalty..... This game was odd indeed.
Your first thought is that he's throwing a bean bag, but his eyes are focused on the bama player? If you're throwing a bean bag to mark the spot, don't you look where you're throwing it? Also, I don't see a bean bag on the youtube...
the no call was garbage, just like the one they didnt call when we played Bama the week before "that got ignored" Florida and Bama make me sick, I wonder how much they're paying these ref's!!!
good game against Bama, cant wait till 10/31
This is a dead:horse: foul, what we would like is for you and all the bama trolls to go away:bammer:Not really sure how many times this has to be explained to people who live on the grassy knoll, but the unsportsmanlike conduct (helmet) penalty is a DEAD BALL FOUL. If you'd like me to post the entire section of the rules, I'll do that, since obviously very few UT fans know anything about college football rules. The conduct rules mention taking off the helmet specifically during a live play as a dead ball foul just like "taunting, baiting or ridiculing an opponent verbally."
Again, for all of you who believe the Earth is flat.... These are dead ball fouls EVEN if the play is live. And a dead ball foul is assessed on the NEXT play. In this case, the next play was first down ALABAMA. So get off this crap. You played a great game and you lost.

Remind us again why you're here. You tired of all the other stuff to do in that Mecca you choose as home (you know, because you're the man)? You know the rules better than everyone else because you live in NYC? You struggle that someone believes the AL win Saturday was garbage? You suck? You're miserable enough that AL people hate you, as they probably should?
Help us out here?

Again, for all of you who believe the Earth is flat.... These are dead ball fouls EVEN if the play is live. And a dead ball foul is assessed on the NEXT play. In this case, the next play would have been first down ALABAMA. Did you want the officials to clear the field, mark 15 yards off Bama and then give 'em the ball, first down? Because if ANY time had been left, that's exactly what they would have done IF they called the foul in the first place. So get off this crap. You played a great game and you lost.
Yep, that game was garbage. Bama's 8-0, has beaten UT three years running, plays LSU for the SEC West title in two weeks, and I'm really "struggling" over that win. Yeah... right.
I'm here because you have a coach who calls news conferences to blame the refs for his team's own shortcomings, and even throws in a conspiracy theory about headsets.... Wow... "big bad Nick Saban took away our headsets. Oh, woe is us..."
A week before the UT game, Bama received 113 yards in penalties in their own stadium. You didn't hear Saban crying about it. So man up (though that's impossible for you, I know) and deal with it. You lost. Replay that kick a thousand times. Blame the refs for some perceived slight. Talk about re-kicks when you have NO IDEA what you're talking about. And finally, take a look at the scoreboard.
Thank you Mr. Know It All. Quick question, on a scale of 1-1000, how big of a meltdown would the bammers have if the situation were reversed?
