The SEC New Guys

I don't think of West Virginia as a south-eastern state at all. Virginia Tech is OK with me I guess..since it is in south-west Virginia. But..I don't even have a great feeling about that one. It just feels like ACC country. I would gladly take Georgia Tech. I don't like Florida State so they can stay out.
Georgia Tech left the SEC voluntarily. I have no interest in allowing them back into the league.

Bad fans come with EVERY school. UT has it's share of bad fans and we've even seen one of them posting on here this week. Comes with sports. Overall I've heard more complients regarding our fans from other teams than any other teams.

The SEC is the perfect conference. We have a championship game, the divisions are balanced, and the rivalries are storied.

I've always been fond of Arkansas for a couple of reasons. Unlike most other teams, they always have early OOC games against people like Texas and USC. That's just sheer balls right there. I think it's a great idea, speaking for myself. If you lose, everyone sweeps it under the rug. "C'mon it was USC at home," and "It's early in the season." But good God, if you win.....

I dislike South Carolina because they're a bunch of cocks.

As a Hog fan, I would much rather be in the SEC. When we left the SWC to join, Texas was courted to join as well. It didn't work so now they dominate the little 12. There are some Arkansas fans(older fans) that think we would be a better fit in the little 12. We wouldn't have the meat grinder of a season like in the SEC and would contend for conference titles more years than not.

Where we miss out some is the lack of history with SEC teams. We have the Battle for the Boot with LSU, but I don't think it has taken off the way the schools thought it would.

I think we're still finding our way in the SEC in football. We did have a lot of success in the old SWC and many fans, especially younger fans, don't remember those days. I do love when we have Tennessee on schedule. Even though you guys own the series record, it's a game that I would like to see on the schedule every year.

Good luck to the Vols and safe travels to those making the trip to the hill this weekend.

If Arkansas and LSU can both continue to have seasons like they are this year, you can bet it'll take off. Especially with it being the last game of the year.

yeah I agree. The only reason the LSU-Auburn matchup has been so huge is because of the implications. If LSU-Arky were to meet with the SEC west title on the line year in and year out, you can bet your a$$ the boot would be a lot more meaningful.
