The SEC in the year 2008.

The thing that scares me is the last 2 seasons after SEC championships. I know it doesn't really mean anything, but it is kind of a sick thought.

Can we add how many Vol fans will become alki's due to the stress of the games?

Also how about how many vol fans have heart attacks during the season?[/QUOTE]

Not too funny, idiot. Don't ever joke about heart attacks. Wonder how you would do after a massive one and then triple bypass and weeks stay in St. Thomas.

Equating a stressful event with "having a heart attack" is far too common a figure of speech for you to call someone an "idiot" for using it. Don't be a jackass.

UT has to beat UF next year to make SECEC. Sucks that the third week in the season probably will determine it, but UT was lucky this year to lose to UF and win the East.

UT plays at Auburn the next week and then at UGA two weeks after Auburn. Tough schedule, but if then can beat UF and then beat either UGA or Auburn, they have a very good shot.

I'm going on record: UT upsets Florida next year in Knoxville! The crowd noise gets to Tebow, he throws a couple of INTs and UT takes one to the house late for the winning TD! Yeah baby---UT 31 UF 26

You know what, I'm a very negative person, but I see UT winning the SEC East next year....seriously, honestly. Maybe 1 or 2 losses at most and maybe a BCS bid.

I'm right there with you on that. I haven't been this excited about an upcoming season since... 2005. :ermm:

But seriously, I just have a gut feeling this will be a breakout year next year and the pain/frustration of the last 3-4 years will be washed away and forgotten.

I'm drinking the Kool-Aid... pass me a cup!

just think of what a BCS game would bring to the table. UT football would officially be BACK.

Use your magic 8-ball, ESP or pull it out of a hat. Predict the following for next year:

1 SECE standings
2 SECW standings
3 SECCG winner
4 Best player in the SEC.
5 How many times will Phil be on the hot seat?
6 UTs starting QB for the majority of the season?

SECE
Tennessee (7-1)
Florida
Georgia
USC
Kentucky
Vandy

SECW
Auburn (7-1)
LSU
Alabama
Arkansas(Could be lot higher if d mac and felix stay)
Miss St
Ole Miss
SECCG Tennessee over Auburn
POY:Tebow
Hot Seat:Max of 1 (If loss to UCLA)
Starting QB:Crompton

I know this probably wont happen this way but I am trying to be optimistic here.

Tebow.. with the lack of a running back.. coach urban calls his number one too many times next year.. and snappo. Not saying I want it to happen, but just look at the odds of it. Any qb in the nation would be hurting. You take one facet of Tebows game away and he is a good qb at the other. Meaning defenses will be able to scheme Fl better with an injured Tebow. And btw who is the back up to Tebow? Has he played this year? I watched a lot of FL games when they were up by 25 or more and TEbow was still running the ball late in the game.

4.Kentucky (maybe carry this years momentuem with them)
5.Vandy (hate to say but i dont see a wnning season from vandy until they fire Johnson)

West
1.LSU (LSU and Auburn could go either way, but the game will decide west winner)
1.Auburn
2.Mississippi State (that program will continue to improve)
3.Arkansas
4.Alabama

SEC Champions- Tennessee over Auburn/LSU
SEC POY- Tebow (hate to say it)
Hot Seat- maybe once

His name is Cameron Newton and he has maybe played 10 snaps all year, but he played some in the tennessee game and scored a rushing TD. I hate to say it but he can bust the line too:ermm:

Although this season is not over, I can't think of another one that effected me quite the way this did. 2005 was so many downs, so little ups. 2007 about did me in, to the point I was really questioning, especially after bama aftermath, the costs of my VOLfanaticism. I look forward to 2008 as always I can't wait til "It's football Time in Tennessee." GO VOLS beat the badgers ( how crazy does it get? I told my dog last night, a badger hunter, we either win 1/1 or I am holding him personally responsible. He whined "Don't pick a bone with me, call up your one and only love Smokey!"):worship:

Why? If the better player is on the bench, then why did we waste a scholly on him? I'm not saying he is better, but Coleman is a Cut QB and Crompton hasn't really proven anything to me yet. Let's see Crompton play first before we pronounce him the starter. The coaches will always go with the best QB...a la 2004.

Let's all hope there is not a repeat of 05 QB musical chairs.

You must have missed that truck that ran over Rogan late in the Florida game then... that was their backup.
