And when asked about it, he said something to the effect of “ and it meant even more because the team helped me get across the goal line”. That’s a leader
I think he said he was surprised that the refs didn’t blow the whistle, but his team wanted the record more than he did and pushed him in lol

It was an amazing play and cool to see his teammates want it for him. However, we are being biased if we say we wouldn’t have been livid if it wasn’t blown dead and it was the other way around.

It sure looked like it did (briefly) about halfway through that run. I've seen it blown dead for that before. I'm not trying to be contrary because we score on the next play imo. We usually get the wrong end of that deal though.
You're not wrong. I think its refs discretion and I think what kept the play going was continual movement. The one time it looked like it was stopping, it moved sort of laterally and then moved forward again. It could have been stopped but I am glad it wasn't because the reality of the situation was there was continued movement.

The officiating crew was lost in the sauce last night. They owed us that one. But, the progress never stalled.

The entire OLIne, plus both TEs were in it. Nico was right in the middle of it. Bru ran in from the left wing to help. The only Vol on the field who stayed clear of the scrum was Dont'e Thornton waaaay out on the right wing.

True team effort.

Go Vols!

There was general amazement at that touchdown at the bar where I was watching the game. Even the aTm fans watching that game on one of the other TVs came over to watch it. Play of the season.
