The Runner's thread

2.5 miles tonight in shorts and t-shirt. Love this weather for the end of November.

Total - 22 miles

So I spoke to the veterinarian and she said Samus could go about 5-6 miles without water in these sort of conditions. I am going to try and consolidate her walks into my runs. We went 4.5 miles tonight and she did a very good job. Her usual walks are about 1.5-2 miles. We went along at a 12 minute average pace, which is pretty good considering we had to stop for her to poop and pee and we walked for about a half mile or so. I want to try and get our pace closer to 10 minutes, although I still don't imagine doing anything close to my usual pace with her.

What kind of dog is Samus again?

Getting ready to get the dog ready to run. I may stop the clock as she poops and pees and see if that shaves some time from our average pace.

Yankee: I just did a little reading and I have not congratulated you on your marathon finish yet. Congrats! Big Accomplishment! 4:25 is a great time especially for a first. Again, great job!

Hitting it today for 9.5 miles in Hardin Valley, 50 degrees and a little breeze, just right for a good time! I've been averaging 8:20 pace for the last 140 miles or so.

Have the Autumnfest 8k race tomorrow morning in Knoxville, temp should be in the low 20's. Might be the coldest race I've ever run in.

I survived the 8k, ran it around 41 mins. Very cold to start the race and am not adjusted back to the Knoxville hills yet. Need to get more mileage built up.

4 tonight after a week off. Felt sluggish and the dog chased everything in a five mile radius.

38 total.
