I think you are correct. I don't think they are exact but they give you a decent idea of how many calories you have burned as long as you input your info.

Lol. yesterday this guy ran a trail marathon with 3500'+ of elevation gain plus a hilly marathon on Saturday. he was last yesterday but props for finishing.
amazingly he wasn't the craziest runner. another guy ran a 50 miler on Saturday then marathon on Sunday.
