The Runner's thread

Ended up not really racing yesterday. My girlfriend's friend bailed on her and I didn't want her to be miserable. We ran about 3/4 of the first two miles with walk breaks for her. I left her at mile 2 and basically sprinted the remaining 1.1. I wish I would have worn my watch, I'm sure that was a mile PR by a lot. I passed about 100 people coming in, haha, I'm sure they hated me.

Weekly Total for last week: 22.47 Miles

Ran 4.5 today. I'm excited for some more speedwork tomorrow.

congrats on reaching 100 so quickly. That's amazing.

and tri, that's exactly how my car will be. A Power T in the center and 26.2 sticker in a corner most likely.

I see nothing wrong with a 26.2 sticker...especially since I have 1

Also, I did it hoping Freak will make me a "running guru"

All about the ecred

But seriously I hope everyone else continues to go for the 100

I'm aiming for two easy miles on Wednesday then slowly work it up. It should be doable. Time will tell I guess. My calves are fine, but my quads are very sore and my right knee wouldn't be against some rest.

I'm seriously battling some depression with the fibula stress fracture. I'm thinking no running for 2-3 months. Has anyone dealt with one, and how did you exercise while letting it heal?

3.0 today. Was planning on intervals but I got off work 2.5 hours late and figured I'd better save it for Thursday.

Weekly Total: 7.5 Miles

2.4 really easy miles today to ease back into it. 69.8 for 100 mile March. 30.2 over the next 11 days. Let's do this.

3.3 miles today. Three weeks into my return from tendinitis. Started at 2.0mi and running every other day. So far so good. Going to stick at 3.5 miles every other day for several months now before I try anything longer.
