The Runner's thread

They release you by corrals. So if you are in corral number 1 they let you go. Once the first corral goes the clock starts. Then they wait about a minute and release corral #2, and so on.

I ended up leaving with corral 11 even though I was supposed to be in 7 because I was waiting on a friend.

I see now

Exchanged my shoes today for a new pair of Nike Lunar Glide +3 and some new insoles. Ran 4 today and they were very comfortable. Anybody else run in these?

I have them. I think they're ok shoes- they seem to make my big toe sore, but I think that's Nike's in general for me.

I didn't experience that today. What I did notice is they fit my foot much better than the Structure 15's I exchanged and they are much lighter.

I have them, since breaking them in after a run or two I haven't had a problem. A like them a lot.

Anybody ever used Accerlade? I used it last night and I can tell a difference in the way my legs feel. I am gonna try and use it a couple of times and see if helps my fatigue at all

I feel like I tore something right below the outside of my knee. After my run last night it started tightening up and now feels sore this morning. Whats the best thing to do? Ice it for a long time? I am supposed to run 3 today and 8 on Sunday.

I would ice it and keep off it for a couple days if the soreness persists.

I would ice it before and after today's run and see how you feel on Sunday. Don't push too hard, though. Take it nice and easy for a couple of days and if it persist I would stay off it for a while.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that

It would help if you grew some balls, SDV! Lulz

J/k...............Ice then heat and elevate as much as you can. Go for a short 2-3 miles and see how it feels. Also, ibuprofen is your friend.

Just bought some of these about 2 weeks ago. My second pair I've owned. Great running shoe, especially if your 200+ lbs. My last pair lasted me over a year and a half.

Thanks Tex. I'll start growing a pair right now

Let me know, I'm interested

I will keep you posted. I used it last night after my run. You are actually supposed to use it before and it's supposed to help you train longer, recover quicker, and rehydrate faster. I can tell you this after taking it last night and waking up this morning I could really tell a difference. My legs felt less sore and "refreshed" is really the only word I could use to describe it.
