The Runner's thread

4.4 miles this morning puts me at 85.2 for the month, this evening and two weekend days. I've got a chance.

3.0 yesterday afternoon. First run in a nearly a week. Life has been getting in the way of my running. Hopefully I will be back on track now.

alright bill where you at?

I failed :(. Came up to see the parents and helped build a swing set for my niece and nephew. My parents live in the middle of nowhere so when we realized we needed some extra parts it was a 30 minute drive just to get to the hardware store and back. I took a two hour nap after that because I was exhausted from my work week and today has been spent either in the NCAA forum, at church or cooking :(. Gonna get a good run in tomorrow and go from there.

I may not have gotten 100 miles this month, but how many people can say they ever ran 26.2 in one month, much less one day? I'll still consider the month a success.

You sir are correct

Didn't hit 100 miles for March. I did good the first couple days in Mexico, got 3 miles in each day. Then the top of my feet got so sunburned that I couldn't put shoes on, so I finished with 94 miles.

Good news is, I got back on track with 4.52 today and my paces are coming down pretty fast now with the quality speedwork I'm doing.

3.6 yesterday afternoon. 7:18 pace. Going to try and increase my distances this month. By the end of the month I would like to be somewhere around 4 miles or more per run and try on Saturday's that I don't have to work to have some longer distances of 6 miles or more.

Speedwork today, 1 mile warmup, 8 x 60 seconds fast & 60 seconds rest, 1 mile cooldown. Came out to 3.94 miles.

Weekly Total: 8.46 Miles
