I'm wondering how much CCM mixed up the players when on the court.

Do we have a consistent rotation?

What's the DROP off?

It's an eleven man rotation b/c A) None of the backup posts have separated themselves B) We have guys who get in foul trouble.

Right now:

PG- Golden/Washpun
SG- Tatum/McBee
SF- McRae/Richardson
PF- Maymon/Miller/Woolridge
C- Hall/Yemi/Maymon

We don't know what the rotation will be yet. He's played everyone on the team except Chievous in the two preseason games. Expect the rotation to be trimmed down to around 9 with the four off the bench being Washpun, Richardson, Yemi/Hall , and Skylar McBee. The starters will be Golden, Tatum, McRae, Maymon, and Yemi or Kenny Hall.

I ask for my dad: is Skylar McBee ever gonna get to do anything or is my dad gonna have to change his status to Negavol until CM's gone?

Are you saying you feel Yemi should be starting? I'm on the fence.

We're going to need both of them. I trust Kenny cause he can hit a layup. Although that's not saying much at this point.

Kenny Hall has sucked thus far. No two ways around it.

+1. He still looks extremely raw. I really expected him to bulk up a lot this offseason and work on a slight midrange game for a big man. Not throwing up Chism 3's but you know what I mean. I didn't get to watch tonights game but he certainly didn't impress during the first exhibition game. It's like when he gets the ball, he has a hesitation, figures out what he wants to do, then forces it.

Is Chievous not ready for the D1 level, hurt or being held out for disciplinary reasons?

Wish we could have seen what this kid has to offer in these 2 exhibition games, will he redshirt or did we waste a scholarship on him?

I still don't understand why a former walkon is scrutinized so much, yet there are 4 star players that are doing and have done very little for the team.

Martin has stressed twice that Chievous has been held out only because he's not yet completely prepared with the sets. It has absolutely nothing to do with disciplinary issues.

Because he's not a walkon anymore and is taking up a scholly. He's too slow to guard quality opponents, is extremely predictable, and a very streaky shooter. A lot of people don't agree with me and it might be mean but I never liked McBee getting a scholarship. I'm more impressed when he actually makes a basket because bricking it has became the normal.

He's not slow and not bad on D, unless you are talking about him guarding another pg, which he had to do last year. He boxes out well, rebounds well and can feed the post by changing angles, a lost art among many guards. These are the reasons he plays. If he gets his feet and release in order, his value would be higher.
That said, he's done more to earn his scholly than Wool or Hall.

I got to agree with LawVol about Kenny Hall. Right now, I think he would be riding the pine except we have no one to really replace him at the moment. I hope Yemi comes on. I think he has a lot of potential. Just not sure we are going to see it this year. Woolridge is still playin the fianese game, which is not what you need from a big man. It was obvious last night, that he is not a banger. Maymon on the other hand, is very much a beast in the lane.

In my opinion, McBee is not wasting a Scholly at this point in time. He is what he is and he will be needed this season and probably next year too. He played good last night. We need a spark coming in off the bench and he provided that. The stache has to go though. Not a good look for him at all.

Washpun has a lot of growing up to do, as you would expect from a freshman. It will come, but at the price of Golden being tired at the end of the game. I think that was the reason Golden's shooting fell off last night. Probably too many minutes, but who are you going to put in?

Lastly, LMU was no cake walk. That was a pretty good team last night. In the second half, when we went cold from 3 point land, they turned the defense up a notch and got back in the game. They are a scrappy well coached team! Hats off to them!

Please forgive the spelling ladies and gentlemen.
