I was okay with Pruitt hire...but now I have such a strong dislike about everything about him. At least with Dooley I didn't "dislike" the guy per se...Same thing with Butch to a large degree...but Pruitt I believe is a pompous...condescending jerk....who not only has bad qualities but is a TERRIBLE coach. Yes...as another poster says...just my humble opinion.

I know I will get flamed for this (it has happened before) but my biggest "personality" gripe about Pruitt is his utter mangling of the English language. He is the highest profile employee of the University. I am not looking for a Rhodes Scholar, and sure grammar is not everyone's strong suit, but good grief. The guy sounds like he dropped out of elementary school before he got to the 4th grade. I cannot think of another college coach who, when he speaks, sounds completely uneducated. Thing is, I am sure Pruitt is an intelligent person and could clean it up if he applied himself. He just doesn't care. It doesn't reflect well on the University IMHO.

And I know, I know, "winning cures all." But still.

I have no issue with Pruitt, except we are not winning. After one game everyone is acting like the barn is on fire. I white washed last season and this season also. I am looking forward to Pruitt's year three before I say the barn is burning. The ones that hate him are the ones that were sucked in by Lyle's stupid cheesy quotes that made Tennessee the laughing stock of college football or Dooley's colorful post game commentary (which I always thought was entertaining). Pruitt knows how to win, last game it seemed that we were gonna come out and keep things vanilla and next thing we were behind with no momentum. Was hard to keep the kid's head in the game. I do not think we will come out soft today and things will get turned around this season. But until we get a quarterback that is ready to play, I wouldn't expect much out of this year.
