Pretty decent Within the Ruins/Upon a Burning Body concert last night. Coldcasket and Kublai Khan opened. Had not heard their stuff before. Not too shabby.

In Flames and Avatar played last night in KTown. Avatar is a highly entertaining band. In Flames was decent, but it just isn't that exciting to see them without Jesper, Daniel and Peter gone from the group. They did play 2 songs from The Jester Race, so that was cool.

I was a huge In Flames fan back in the 90's. After that Reroute to Remain album I was done. I would never have thought in a million years they would play Knoxville.

I remember being pretty taken aback too when RTR was released. I never bought that album. I guess that's when Anders took over the band and became the leader. He's the one that put all that synth stuff on there. They did put on a decent show, but basically they're a cover band at this point.

That's going to depend on how rock band is defined. Black Sabbath is heavier and edgier. Zeppelin is far more diverse and experimental. Zeppelin's recording are "highly" produced and incorporate lots more sounds and instrumentation. Black Sabbath is one of the most kick ass bands ever and Bonham is arguably the most kick ass drummer in the history of Rock and Roll.

I don't see how to compare the two. It's personal preference.
