The Rock/Metal Thread

I saw them at the Valarium the first time they came to Knoxville after releasing their first album. I was the only one in the room who cheered when Tosin announced the next song: CAFO

Their drummer looks like Tim Tebow

A Perfect Circle is coming to Nashville in May.

This is awesome, a while back I thought I'd never get to see Tool or APC, and I'll get to see both within a year and a half.

Saw perfect circle at the former charlotte hornets training facility. Its basically a highschool gym. Standing room only, general admission tickets. I believe it wqs their first tour. We forced our way through the crowd to the front row and i climbed up my buddies back about 8 or 10 feet from maynardnm screaming my lungs out. What a great show. It was so incredibly loud in that timy venue
It was actually better than the tool shows i have seen. There is no replacing danny carey though...i believe he is the best drummer to ever pick up the sticks. Amazing. Cool story bro
..i know

I like Tool more than APC, but I'm really excited to see APC. 2 years ago I figured I'd never see either since neither band had toured in years or played Nashville, and now within a year and a half I'll see both.

They are some weird guys but I can't deny they are some talented people.

A gem from last year that I missed

Soundgarden will be playing at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta on Wed. May 3rd. That was a great show when I saw them in '96.

I got an email this morning from "Rocknation Nashville" that a new station is coming to Nashville this summer, and it gave a list of bands they will be playing and it sounds like it's going to be pretty much all hard rock and metal. It didn't say when it would start, what station is would be, or anything, but if true that sounds pretty awesome.
