Saw 311 finally 2 years ago. Even after 25 years those guys still put on a heck of a show, and most of them look almost the same.

I was looking through here because I figured someone had mentioned Mastodon.

I recently got into them. "Curl of the Burl" was a suggested video to watch on YouTube so I listened to it, and thought it was pretty good, so I ended up listening to more.

Then I check out iTunes and their latest album (Once More 'Round The Sun) was only $5.99 so I got it, and ended up getting their first 2 (Remission, Leviathan) and their previous album (The Hunter (Deluxe Edition).

I've listened to the first 2 and it's some awesome stuff. Next month I'll get the other 2 studio albums, plus I know they have some EPs available and a B-Sides/early songs album.

When I first heard them, I didn't care for them, but after they released a few more songs they started to grow on me.

I checked iTunes last night and they had their compilation album Call of the Mastodon for $6.00 so I got that too.

And yeah March of the Fire Ants is awesome. All of their music is awesome for work out music.

Also what's crazy about Mastodon is you'd think they'd be more widely known given every album they've released has gotten great reviews, and most of them get really high praise. I was really surprised to read how respected they are in the industry and not just the heavy metal segment.

Alive or Just Breathing was a good record. Seems almost a lifetime ago that I bought that album! :rock: My ex wife hated it..
