All this is doing is hurting the program. AD will get rid of Butch when it is a good time. We run him off with stuff like this and we will be stuck taking what we can get, like Dooly

You presume that other coaches around the NCAA actually have a respect for CBJ and cannot actually see how bad it is!

Does anyone really believe the players don't know that the coaching decisions that are made are not stupid. They do not play blindly, they understand football!

When 7 of the 11 goofup for a play to go bad. It's hard to point fingers when you're part of the 7.

JK can point the most. Don't act like you didn't know he should have caught that TD pass instead of letting it bounce off of him. QD knows he should have thrown it better.

Adrenaline will cause goofups. I get excited just watching(twss).

Butch has put himself onto that path. Butch isn't beating Georgia, Bama, LSU. The sooner you accept that, the better off you'll be. Butch is trash on gameday. My attitude on butch has nothing to do with Tennessee, only with Butch. I still want Tennessee to win every game. I'm just smart enough to realize that an idiot coach that runs shotgun from the 6 inch line is in over his head. The losses are coming. Butch will be gone in 18 months or less.

One of CBJ's problems is he has to learn every lesson for himself. He needs to learn from other's mistakes, not just his own.

No, but who wants to coach for fans that will treat a coach that has worked so hard for their school this badly. It's different to state that he is not the one on message boards but to paint it on the rock just makes us look bad.

Horrible look for recruiting, in my opinion.

Florida has surpassed Vandy as being a fireable offense.

A coach shouldn't expect to keep his job after losing to such a bad team that's out of shape and disorganized.

Stop patting yourself on the back for rushing to the aid of an overpaid millionaire.

The rock is here. It's tradition. When it's going good, the rock reflects it. When it turns, the rock reflects it.

Butch has earned every single word that was on that rock. He cannot be fired soon enough.

his point is, noone wants Mac and how terrible of a coach he is, but he has owned us and Butch while there.

Wait.... What? He's 2-1 against Tennessee and CBJ. And the two victories came on one single play with both being in the final two minutes of the game. That's hardly owning anyone.

I hate for the guy he seems like pretty good dude but he's not getting it done. It's year 5 and he makes the same game management errors. UT shouldn't be a place to cut your teeth in coaching. Something has to give before we turn into the current version of Nebraska. We may already be at that point. Need a change.

Florida in general owns Tennessee. Muschamp is Butch's daddy. Sad

You didn't follow. The word "coach" was a giveaway. The players coming in will be much better off with a different coach actually coaching them. Butch focuses on life championships while other coaches actually want to win games.

The players coming in will not be coming here with a coaching change.

If UT hires a proven coach like chip kelly their will be minimal amounts of transfers and decommits..

How many times does it have to be stated that i won't matter if UT has the #1 recruiting class every year if the coach is a moron that cant develop talent or gameday coach?

You're also fooling yourself if you think recruits won't transfer/decommit after witnessing whats going on this season

Working so hard =/= competence. He's worked so hard but to date he has a winning record against Kentucky and South Carolina. Butch has coached against 11 of the other 13 SEC teams and has a winning record against two historic east division cellar dwellers.

Honestly, firing him now would be pointless and in my opinion a terrible move. Unless CBJ is seriously holding them back that another coach can bring out which I highly doubt. At the end of the season would be ideal.

I'm no sunshine pumper but I don't think he goes unless he has a losing season and maybe not even then. This season and next is make it or break it.

You guys arent looking at the big picture

If we don't get ahead of this and he ends up tanking, then we are behind all the other teams that are looking to improve on their top guy

Then, we will be stuck hunting for a coach after NSD

You talk about killing recruiting

So just throw away a season after one loss in the final seconds? Smart move.

If he loses a bunch towards end of the season then yes.

You realize that most coaches are hired at the end of the season and not at the beginning?

Name a for sure win after UMASS then ask yourself if your ok with being competitive with likes of Vandy,SC,Kentucky and Mizzou. Tennessee should be striving for more.

I don't get how these idiots talking about the good recruiting classes cant see how it doesn't mean anything when the coach sucks.

Tennessee has had a top 20 class every year butch has been here, with nothing to show for it.

You can recruit til the cows come home but if there's no development it's does not matter.
