I’ll start by saying what a win on Sunday. The whole team stepped up and played well at the beginning and end of the game.

Now I ask, How many more losses do we expect the Vols to have?

I know we have some tough teams left.

Schedule:

@ Memphis W
Vs Samford W
Vs Wake W
Vs TN Tech W
Vs Georgia W
@ Missouri W
@ Florida W
Vs Arkansas W
Vs Alabama W
@ Vandy W
Vs WVU W
@ Uscjr W
@ Tx A&M W
Vs Missouri W
Vs Florida W
Vs Uscjr W
@ UK L
Vs Vandy W
@ LSU L
@ Ole Miss W
Vs UK W
Vs Mississippi State W
@ Auburn L

Without Lamonte Turner at full strength , we lose 4 maybe 5 games. If he comes back 100% I don't think we lose more than 2-3.

My guess would be 3 to 5 losses. I don't think you can predict who at this point since its well proven they can play with anyone on the planet. They look stronger this year but will be a target as defending SEC champs. I think they handle Memfuss easily this weekend.

After Sunday it's hard to imagine them losing again, but know they will. A road game or 2 with 3 days rest, coming off a big win our shots are off and theirs are on ala Louisville half. I'm wondering what the drive bys will be saying after future losses this season. personally I think we're better than Auburn and KY and will be up, so some of the under the radar teams could get us. There will be some unexpected losses along the way. The college basketball season is super long and we'll have some off nights. I expect about 5 loses this year, but there's no way to predict them imo.

We should run the SEC . I see maybe 2-3 losses being slip up games, and the regular season championship should come down to that last game at Auburn .

Running the SEC with the home cooking and home court advantages is nearly impossible for any team. Some pro teams wild have trouble "away" in the SEC.

I'm not willing to pencil the Kentucky games in as wins yet. They do look like they're struggling quite a bit more than usual, but I never put it past them to improve by leaps and bounds as the year goes on. If they're still playing like they are today when we meet up in February, we win.

Other than that, the game at Auburn is an obvious pick for a road loss, and I'm sure we'll lose a game or two that we aren't expecting. I'm glad we play Alabama at home, because no matter how good/bad they are, we always seem to struggle playing them on the road, and it never fails to piss me off. At Kentucky, at LSU and at Florida could all be possible losses.

I think we'll end up with 3-5 losses.

Know what's cool?? A few years ago, we was estimating how many games over or under .500 we was gonna be. Now we talking 3-5 losses, mentioned in Championship possibilities, and ranked in top 3. GO VOLS!!!

I would include Arkansas as a potential loss. We’ve struggled with them in recent years, they look to be in the upper middle tier of the SEC, and Barnes has a losing record against Mike Anderson.

Losses at Arkansas and Florida? WTH!!! Have you guys seen some of these teams actually play? We haven't even hit our stride yet. Grant Williams and Admiral will break the will of those that don't have good low-post players and our all-out hustle, in-your-face defense will cause some teams to quit.

Gonzaga and Kansas are way better than any teams we have left on the schedule, so I don't see any more than 3 losses at best.

That’s why I said “potential“ loss. I don’t think we’ll lose, but based on a number of factors, I think it’s among the most likely other than Auburn.

Basketball is hard to predict. Last year UNC lost to Wofford. Does this mean Wofford was better than UNC?

In basketball losing 1 or 2 you shouldn't is pretty normal for most teams (even the best).

Holy crap some of these predictions
Can't hardly blame them after Sunday. We all know they'll stumble on a few. Most projections are 4 more losses and second in the SEC. I do think they could do better than that. I'm hoping they save those once in 50 years perfect games for March.

I see what you mean. I think we get our revenge back on Auburn at their place though. We owe them and Bama from last year and we finally have the horses to stay with them. I want Kyle Alexander to smash one in Donta Hall's face for punking him.

There’s a reason analytics project 25-6(13-5)

Exactly, even last years Tennessee team lost a couple they were favored to win.
