thats good but preseason rankings mean very little......

Well, they probably won't influence how well we do next year, but the fact that we're ranked this high in preseason certainly moves the program up yet another notch.

i.e., it's a good thing.

I didn't realize this was just a writer's list and not an official poll, but it's still cool to get props.

Pre-season rankings may not mean a lot, but they sure do get me anticipating the next season:dance2:

I agree that you can't count on the ranking as guaranteeing you anything for next year. But it is at a minimum an acknowledgement that the program is on the rise. Take it as a subjective compliment.

true, the rankings dont mean much but it sure does feel good to be highly ranked! GO VOLS:eek:k: :dance: :dance2: :good!: :thumbsup: :yes: :rock: :) :worship:

there ain't no reason we shouldn't rule the SEC and make a strong run in the NCAA's next year, but would you believe I wonder a little about the impact of losing Dane? Everybody always said he's not an NBA prospect, but he was much of the glue that made so many things happen the past couple seasons. With his sixth sense for finding the man at a given instant, the assists; I hope Bruce can maintain the unselfish team-mindset that Dane helped seam together...without him next year. I feel like he will.
