The Republican Convention Thread

By "people give you reasons," I'm assuming you're referring to your regurgitation of orange man's talking points. Thanks, but no thanks.

Continue with the name-calling and insults...typical.

No I’ve watch many other people besides myself quote you facts . You are about as independent as my liberal brother . Both of you talk the talk then vote the line ( I’m guessing ) Basically I’ve just pointed out that I’ve never seen a “history major “ that does know or is just willing to ignore history . It’s odd to me .

LOL. There's no back peddle whatsoever.

Even FOX News acknowledged his racist remarks. Moreover, after his initial comments (the dialogue with the reporter was verbatim and back-to-back), Trump DOUBLED DOWN on his comments:

Aug. 15

During a highly contentious press conference with reporters in New York, Trump returned to his original message of blaming “both sides” for the deadly attack. He specifically railed on the “alt-left” that he said were “swinging clubs” as they “came charging at” the alt-right groups.

“I think there’s blame on both sides,” Trump said during a combative exchange with reporters. “I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either.”

Still want to defend him? Of course you do. This is what toadie idol worshippers do.
It’s not about defending Trump. It’s about you all not lying about what he said. If you pulled the same crap about Obama, which would NEVER happen, I’d call you out on that too. How in the world is what you posted above anything like what you claim? You even posted where Trump said there’s blame on both sides. How is that racist?

Lawdy.

Trump said neo-nazis were "fine people". Racism 101.

THE END.

Trump did not say that. He very specifically condemned them and you’re choosing to ignore it. FIN.

FFS Dude!!!

ONE MORE TIME:

Reporter: (Inaudible) "… both sides, sir. You said there was hatred, there was violence on both sides. Are the --"

Trump: "Yes, I think there’s blame on both sides. If you look at both sides -- I think there’s blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And if you reported it accurately, you would say."

Reporter: "The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest --"

Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."

So riddle me this, Trump Defender: Was Trump saying that some of the neo-Nazis were very fine people or the group of people defending the Statue of the Confederate (and treasonous racist) Robert E. Lee?

Obviously, in either case, Trump said that these racists were very fine people.

Lol. Not everyone there in support of the statues were Neo nazis.

Oh so now you’ve moved the goalposts to saying anyone who defends a statue is racist? Nice move. You must play chess with such strategery!

I told the poster, not sure if male or female, that they misinterpreted the quotes either intentionally or they need more work with reading comprehension or critical analysis.

Funny. But, no matter the appearance it has been the norm and is done by the other side, too. But, the gif/meme does show the absurdity of the notion as intended.

Speaking at these... no problem................ problem.....having any of them in the halls of the White House, no matter how "intelligent" or "worldly" or "useful" any of them are, bad look. But, as with anything in life, trust makes for a better situation than sense sometimes.

Depends on one's opinion of "pro-America," as well as one's ability to decipher between propaganda and truth (on both sides).

What on the liberal side is really pro-America? Raising taxes? Murder? More open borders? A Socialized medical system? Lies about free this and free that? I mean regardless of what side you sit on there really isn’t much of a debate as to which side is promoting the traditional pro-America narrative.
