The Republican Convention Thread

What?

He ran or attempted to run Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, Paul Ryan, Larry Hogan, and dozens of other moderate republicans out of the party. The remainder lick his boots and act like he’s the greatest American to ever live. Why? Because their political survival demands it. He uncorks on anybody who disagrees with him, from republicans, to his own staffers, to the news media, to foreign leaders.

It’s as disingenuous to say that Democrats are the party punishing intellectual dissent as it is to say Democrats went hard left on the heels of a primary in which the most moderate candidate won in a landslide. It’s a pair of dumb narratives, built up, ironically, to attempt to “destroy” people who don’t think exactly like Trumpists.

Flake, Corker, Ryan and Hogan needed to go. They should have taken Romney, Collins and Murkowski with them.

There are several others like McConnel that need to go also.

The Republican Party was spineless , way too comfortable making deals , building missiles , Warhawking for profit and jamming their heads in the sand every time a liberal called them a racist , which was anytime they wanted them to cave . That’s not new , it’s what they were known for . I knew it when I was a Democrat, we use to laugh about it .
This is a cute attempt at rewriting Trump’s last three years. Not very effective, but cute. It’s like the Ivanka of posts.

Point proven. Thanks. I suspected the accusation of groupthink wouldn’t be enough to keep a few of you from *****ing on people who don’t think exactly like you. You were at the top of my list.

So after witnessing 3 years of “enemy of the people,” “scum of the earth,” “nasty women,” running whistleblowers out of the government, and running moderates out of the Republican Party, you still bought all that?

After witnessing 3 years of the American tax dollar paying millions to run an investigation into something that was created by the left to destroy a duly elected president. Yes, I bought it hook-line and sinker.

It truly amazes me that we have all these cities on fire , bad polices , horrible crime , poverty , poor education , civil unrest , Multiple 30, 40, 50 year politicians and yet its Trumps fault . I bet we could figure it all out if we just had a way to keep up with which politicians vote which way on which policies and hold them accountable , Instead of giving them a pass for party power.

Marco Rubio and the republican majority of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence would like to have a word with you.

I don’t care if the truth is effective or not , it is what it is . I’m not rewriting anything just pointing the big arrow at what’s already written .

So...you’re going to vote for trump because the RNC seems more positive to you?? More sound logic on your part.

I’m voting Trump strictly because the Democratic candidate felt like he could tell me that it was perfectly fine to “ infringe upon “ my rights . Im positive thats a very sound logic .

Isn't that the point of voting in this 2 party system, one is and one isn't.........

But, to you, what is the reasoning for your voting then.......I assume because you see more positive from the D than the R...correct?

Or, no vote or 3 rd party?

Me, don't care, seriously don't. First time ever might just sit this one out.

But, seemingly the logic to vote for a side because someone sees more value or benefit in the positive verus the other side is the reasoning for voting that way.......policy and all other line items from either side follow from that position of positive view of one or the other......

All had made multiple promises to repeal ACA, all supported endless foreign military excursions, all had a chance to work on a balanced budget and yet they accomplished nothing. They complained incessantly about Obama and his policies yet did nothing about them when they had the opportunity. Is that what you think a good Republican is? They bitched and moaned about ACA for 7 years, held numerous and meaningless repeal votes and then when they had the opportunity to make good on the one thing they campaigned the hardest on for 7 years they failed because they had no plan. That is the epitome of just pandering to a base for reelection.

Now I can see a person like you believing they are effective legislators since all they do is spew bull and get nothing done. But the reason they are out is they were exposed.

Seriously, so simple, the best gig next to being a meteorologist. Do nothing, talk a lot, never be correct, just collect check.

There is little need for any of these elected peddlers anymore.

Probably why so many lawyers are attracted to politics. They don't even have to work to steal from their clients once they are elected.

Trump's slogan is Make America Great Again and the brainwashed red hats will actually spell out all the reasons why American has gotten worse since he's gotten elected and then say it's not his fault. It's truly amazing when you think about it.

Why, because liberals behaved like spoiled children that didn't get their way?

That happens when the opposition party has thrown a hissy fit going on four years.

The RNC is showing how great this country is and its people the everyday hard working Americans. It's Pro-America!

They aren't talking about how terrible the country is or how racist it is or how much the world hates us now. The way the DNC did spouting Anti-American rhetoric.

I believe they took out the words "under God" when they said the pledge.
