I am over the age of thirty, actually pushing forty, and I liked the black jerseys. I also love how Kiffin does his thing and doesn't care who he pisses off.


Guess I'm just a dirty hippy.

Hamilton said this morning on Sports Soundoff with Jimmy Hyams, that they wanted to auction the jerseys off for charity but found out they couldn't so. Sorry No game used jerseys available.

I voted "other" because, although a novel jersey FOR A GAME ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT, they should never take the place of our classic orange jerseys! :no:

the black looked simply cool, i'm thinkin i gotta have one. and the energy in the stadium, i could feel it thru the tv screen. marvelous. :good!:

I thought the black jerseys looked good. One game a year is ok, any more than that not so good.

I was watching the program at the time I posted this... I cannot directly quote from a text as there is none availble to me... however, Jimmy did say that Heather did not go through proper channels and He did, and it was very obvious that He was upset that she did not do as he precieved was correct... unless I have a misunderstanding of the English language and what the word "proper" means.

Although my post may have been incorrect in your point of view , it was very correct by my point of view, I did name my source and at what time I saw it.... I am not a journalist but i am a fan and I posted as correct as possible.

I think Hymans on purpose stated heather did not use PROPER channels... Again I did not post as a News report but from a matter of prespective as you and all others who are on Volnation have and are doing daily

BY the way... I am old enough to have children over 30 and have two of them who are.... I loved the BLACK and it does not bother me at all..... All this about orange was not such an issue until Ray Mears first started calling this "BIG ORANGE COUNTRY" which I love as well

Hyams made it perfectly clear to a caller on the radio today that he is NOT a fan. He says that he has never been a fan of any team that he covered. (I think that he was alluding to journalistic integrity or some BS like that).

PS: there were a lot of folks in the stands over 30. I heard no boos or gasp. On the other hand I did hear a lot of cheering.

for all the people that don't like the black uniforms i have one thing to say. Get over it, wearing black is the best thing that ever happened. Our baseball team have black uniforms and so does the basketball team. It shows everyone that we are finally getting out of the old same ole same ole. and the tradition was broken when we started paying our coaches millions and millions of dollars. . But next time all black would be a lot better. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you talking about? I'm an alumni....not as wealthy a donor as some, but friends with some very high dollar donors and I've heard none of them say anything other than they thought they were ugly.....at the very worst. It was Halloween and the way the crowd reacted I think most were completely understanding and behind the idea. We're smart enough to know Kiffin's intent is to keep our kids from focusing on the close, last second loss to Bama, and squarely on #21 USCjr. I don't get you at all.

Jimmy made it VERY clear this morning on the call in show that HE IS NOT A FAN of UT. He's just a reporter doing his job. He stated he's NEVER been a fan of any team where he has worked.

I'm an older fan....and I LOVED the BLAK jerseys. I don't want to see them every week...but for this weekend, this game, this setting.....I thought it was perfect.

Hamilton is not a liar. He stated after the game that he changed his mind about the jerseys after talking to Berry and Hardesty. Don't know about you, but I like someone that can listen to different viewpoints on an issue then go with one....even if it goes against his first thought. Sounds like someone with an open mind. Others on this board need to adopt the same attitude...an open mind.
