I agree with the email from MH. We SHOULD wear orange. On TV, if people show up in black, it will look like a bunch of the transients from SC filled the stands instead of the Vol Nation. No way should that happen!!!!!

Also, if you think about it from a recruiting perspective, it is SO impressive to see Neyland filled to the brim with orange and white.

Yes, I think it would be different to play in black for halloween, but in the big picture, no. Orange and white,and scare the hell out of the SC players with the stadium rocking.

By the way, I'm bringing my Bluetick ("Nelyland") over for the day. He shows at Chilhowee Park at 9am, so we can spend the day at the Pre-Game fun. He has a rubber chicken toy that we're going to dress up as a deadcock and let him carry it around in his mouth

If usc fans show up in a blackout, UT fans should wear white. Hamilton should make the announcement.

Mike Hamilton sent a Big Orange email out talking about how proud he was of the team, the coaches, and the fans. He went on to talk about the begining of basketball season. At the very end of the email, he said "...look forward to seeing you at Neyland Stadium and remember...WEAR ORANGE...". I'm pretty sure that's the clue. I never like the idea of us wearing black. I'm betting my paycheck we're in orange jerseys and pants...

The most radical Tennessee uniform came with the "Halloween jerseys" of 1963, orange with black numbers, uniforms that weren't a big hit. They went gently into that good night at the end of the season. A 5-5 season and a new coach in town the next season helped make that happen.

There is no black out thats Georgia's gimmick and by the way all it is a gimmick and a stupid one at that. I agree with Hammy deck out in orange just like we always.

I've changed my mind about black jerseys. I used to be mostly against it, but now I just wish they'd go ahead and get it the hell over with so people will stop talking about it.

I look at this blackout B.S. the same as I do any mention of us playing on ESPN Thursday nights.

We're Tennessee. We don't need gimmicks like that. We're orange and white and damn proud that we don't share our special shade of orange with anyone else in the country.

And we don't need to play Thursday night games because we get exposure on Saturdays--in good and bad seasons.

P.S. I'm happy other teams play on Thursday nights. Another chance to watch college football.

It would be completely asinine for UT fans to wear the opponent color! Maybe if we are playing UCLA or Oregon or someone, but not a team that WEARS BLACK. I swear some people just do not think.:no:

Personally I'm always good with orange, you know OUR TEAM COLOR... but maybe that's just me :yes:

i dunno how credible wes rucker is but his twitter says some of the players think they are wearing black pants,orange jerseys with black trim. but he said he cant confirm it

He usually just puts what he hears. So I'd say he probably did hear some player say it.

MH is a master mind. he is telling you to wear orange and we will come out in black and you will feel like an idiot and buy a $25 shirt at tennessee traditions.
