The Real Superman Is A Vol!

I see him as a quasi-Steve Young.....but he will probably end up with the Bills or the Jets and never be heard from again once he leaves Florida.

Why on God's green earth are we talking about Timmy Tebag on the eve of playing for the SEC title?

Wrong. 12 of his 22 TD runs are from 4 yards and in.

If Colt Brennan is going to be penalized because of the system he runs, why does Tebow get a free pass?

Thanks, I didn't know the actual stats on him. That was pretty much my point. 22 rushing TD's for a QB is good, but 4 yards or less just looks like padding to me. But he'll probably win anyway.

I try hard to get mad about these things, but I just can't. He has been everything he was cracked up to be and more and its just driving our rivals nuts.

Funny thing is that so many that predicted he could not handle SEC play all game and all year long are just shaking their heads at what he has done. Maybe the fanfare surrounding him is a bit out of control, I can see people feeling that way. But damn its hard to fault him for anything.

From an individual basis he was very good. But from the team aspect he failed grossly. He can win three h-trophies for all I care as long as UF doesn't go to Atlanta.

Can't disagree with this.

Yep, he is done an incredible job. Enjoy him for one more year, he will be gone...if not after this year if he wins the Hypeman Award. If he is smart, he will go while his stock is smokin hot.

He is always one big hit away from watching his stock crash and burn because of an injury.

He has to be 3 years removed from high school to go pro. He's only a sophomore.

And he'll stay all 4 years anyway.

All players are one play away. Plus, the h-trophy is almost the kiss of death for QB's on the NFL level.

Actually, you are just wrong. Half of his running TDs are 5 yards or more. Besides, even if some of them are of the 3-4 yard variety, let's see most QBs line up and run into the teeth of a defense that is just salivating at the chance to ruin his day.

i know i missed the boat on this, but this is the first time i've read this thread. I love proving a gator wrong too, but that's just nitpicking. Instead of 50% of his tds being 5 yards or more, it's only 46%. I'd go ahead and say half of them are over 5 yds too.

But 46% isn't 50%. I can't let anyone fudge the truth :)
