yeah but i have to believe some of the numbers are padded...he runs the ball in for a TD anytime theyre inside the 3 or 4 yrd line, i mean...i guess it's just nit picking

Actually, you are just wrong. Half of his running TDs are 5 yards or more. Besides, even if some of them are of the 3-4 yard variety, let's see most QBs line up and run into the teeth of a defense that is just salivating at the chance to ruin his day.

Wrong. 12 of his 22 TD runs are from 4 yards and in.

If Colt Brennan is going to be penalized because of the system he runs, why does Tebow get a free pass?

He will play QB, he has the right attitude, the toughness, and the arm....Vince Young can run, but what makes Tebow better than VY is he can throw it to....

He has a goofy-ass, awkward throwing motion and he's only 6' 3". He's not the most accurate of passers. The scouts will pick him apart.

These are all things going against him. I'm not downplaying what he's done.

That's funny because last night on the "sports zone" John Adams a beat reporter for the Houston Texans was on there and he said that every single NFL scout he has talked to is amazed with Tebow and if he came out this year he would easily be a first rounder....I think he will have a good NFL career...The sooner he leaves the better imo..

What does that have to do with anything?

Just because those guys were a bust does that mean that everybody is going to be? I can't stand the guy but he will be a very successful NFL qb..

Guys that scouts drooled over at one time or another that turned out to be miserable QBs.

At best, he'll get drafted in the first round, fail miserably at QB and become the next Brian Leonard (a fullback sometimes tailback).

He's a helluva an athlete, but he will not be a successful NFL QB.

I disagree.....He will be a good pro qb, there is no reason why he shouldnt be....He stronger than any of those qb's you listed...He's mobile and has a killer arm, no reason why he shouldnt be a good pro qb.

Guess we will have to wait till 2009 to see....I honestly could care less if he is successful or not, just as long as he leaves the Gators soon...Because one thing is for certain, he is very successful on the college level...

Tebow is in no way, shape, or form a prototypical NFL qb. Justin is right, prior to the draft the scouts will kill him. Esp when they begin to discuss the pounding his body has taken in college.

Agreed he will never play qb in the NFL. Vince Young is sucking as a running qb and he could smoke Tebow. He is another FL qb on the long list of FL qbs who will never amount to anything past his 4th year
