Well, it's a good think Kiffin didn't stick around. USC had 62 points put up on them with Monte's defense that he's been coaching for 3 years now with more talent.

Right, because Troy is as good as Oregon.

Come on, people...stop with the excuses!

It's the fact Troy had 720 yards of O and put up 48 points

There is no excuse for this

I don't understand everybody freakin out over today, everybody on here has known for sometime our defense sucks. Did everyone think it was fixed somehow in the last 6 days? Y'all knew coming in Troy would move the ball and score on us. Is it the amount of yards and points? Not trying to be an ******* just wondering, how noone saw it coming, it's not a big secret, we have no defense at all.
I saw it coming, but it was a whole lot uglier when I saw it in happening.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Post means nothing. Hell, but for fumbles in the UGA and USCjr games, we would be 6-3.

Cant say that for the GA, if not for the int for a TD and turnovers before halftime GA would have beaten us by 28+

Congratulations. This is the dumbest post to ever come to VolNation. It's funny how the definition of "troll" has changed on this board.

Justin and Vincent dropped sure TDs and Pig's fumble cost another.

Shouldn't have been close notwithstanding horrible D.

Shouldn't have been close because the defense NEVER should have allowed the ridiculous third down conversions they gift wrapped. Not the players fault! They did not know where to line up...almost every play.

If your aunt had balls, she'd of been your uncle. IMO Troy blew the game. They established the run and were able to move the ball because of that. Why they came out and went 3 passing plays, punted and let us take the lead is beyond me.

Really? How?

Well, for starters, the real score is what the scoreboard says after time expires....and that's a fact.

That said, indulging your fantasy scenario, several posters pointed out that one of the "drop" drives resulted in a TD anyway. So even in your fantasy world, the "real" score in your mind appears to be incorrect.

"Just FYI. I believe we scored a TD on the drive after Hunter's drop. So really it only would've been 14 points at most."

"So we would've scored two TDs on the first drive if Hunter caught the ball?"
