The real reason Marlin Lane was suspended

This line from the Tennessean article may be somewhat revealing: "The UT reports are emerging at a time of heightened awareness of sexual assault and violence on campuses and among college athletes and the NFL." Chicken or egg? More fuel to the debate.

Very good point!
It's a hot topic so find things that happened pre and relate them.

Lol that's possible (but for the record I've been gone from there for some time). I already said my alternative-be upfront about it. Once he was cleared full reinstatement. It's the cover-up that's the problem.

What cover up? there is only a cover up when there is a crime, tell us what was the crime here.:ermm:

Ok you're right. I'm sure this was handled correctly and the University did everything correctly.

In other words, if a woman who worked at the company across the hall told her boss that you assaulted her, and the police were contacted, you would expect your boss to issue a press release even though an investigation resulted in no charges. Makes perfect sense. I don't know why it doesn't happen that way all the time.

I'm glad the coaches didn't give the media all the info as they like the crucify people.. conviently forgetting the fifth admendment. I'm also glad they took corrective actions until charges were cleared.

If the NCAA looks into this and finds more than these it could spell the end for Butch

If the NCAA looks into this, after the complete blind eye to FSU, I'm starting action.
And by action, I mean complaining a lot on message boards. That'll show 'em

Grow up.

No charges doesn't necessarily mean nothing happened.

These guys should be smart enough not to put themselves in this situation in the first place.

Same can be said for an 18 year old female who decides to go to a dorm room at 3am on a college campus, with a person she doesn't have a serious relationship with.

At some point people have to make responsible decisions, and it goes both ways.

Cmonnn...they pass a law outlawing people who don't exhibit a smart front, and it'd be like "whatever happened to JonGrudensAgent?" :yu:

Sounds like the young lady put herself in a bad situation but these guys took advantage and it is unacceptable to try to cover these things up....it shows that it is ok as long as you can keep your victims from cooperating with police.....

Did you read the article? Police investigated, school investigated, Dr. examined and all 3 have been questioned multiple times. Sex did take place all 3 admitted that. It gets sketchy about how it happened with all 3. Apparently it was determined she was not raped by everyone that investigated! If she was and they did cover this up then UT should be shut down just like FSU and PSU and NC should be! However until that is proven to be the case, we move on and except what has been done to this point.

Everyone seems butt hurt that this is just now coming out!

:eek:k:

Tennesseeduke

you left out Vandy and Notre Dame
