Which Tennessee team will show up? A mad team that's upset for not only making the NCAA but getting snubbed a #1 seed in the NIT. Or a team that just don't care. This is a chance for coach Martin to show that he can still motivate his players.

Let us know how it turns out.

I know many people see it as pointless, but I'd love to see the Vols win this damn thing.

I say let Maymon play and burn his redshirt. That would definitely be the smart thing to do! We NEED to win the NIT. Huge recruiting booster.

No really

NIT doesn't matter. 2 years straight no NCAA. Martin is officially on the hot seat. Better do something special next year.

I'm guessing it will be like last year. We'll tank in the Nat. Irrelevant Tournament just like we did in the SECT.

Any post season play is good. It helps the team to continue to learn one another, it helps the coaches learn their players better, it helps with the process of preparing for next year's season etc. etc.. ANY post season play is good. Is the NCAA better than the NIT? Of course, but I'd rather be at the NIT than at Pizza Hut watching other Bball teams (who I played against and won) on TV. We're all ticked but the 1st round loss killed us.
