Obviously Looking at the stats Murray is a very good QB.. but to argue he is better then Bray and say Bray has never won a big game etc? Who has murray played and beaten that he was not supposed to? In Fact the opposite is true, he has thrown away a couple games that should have been easy wins for UGA like UCF and Colorado.

Bray has yet to lose a game a supposed to win.. Bray has a much better arm which is proven by the stats unless some GA fan wants to argue our WR's or OL is head and shoulders above UGA's..

Not to mention how depleted our roster is compared to GA..

If you have any arguments against this.. feel free to bring some facts with you when you post.. Until then Bray owns Murray

Let's just sit on this conversation until the end of the season. Then it will be very obvious who the better QB is.

I can agree with that too... just tired of hearing crap from fans and even some media about murray being better..and wondering where they get it from because the stats say something different..

Bray is the better QB but until he wins a game of consequence the media and the rest of the country will not give a damn if Tyler is the best QB. Why should the media care to get things right or give any consideration to a great player on a team that has done nothing of consequence?

Close to the same number of touchdowns in half as many games. I like it.

I think Bray will go down as one of the best QBs to ever play in the SEC. The guy has an amazing arm and makes a lot of pin point throws. We'll see soon enough.

Just wanna win - I don't care if we put Doak Raulston out there as long as we win

Bray...32tds-12ints ,regaurdless good stuff.

He is only counting the stats of Bray in games he started.

So that excludes the USCe game from last year.

His comparision is very well put together and his point is well made.

Any time Bray is brought up opposing fans or Media say, HE Hasn't beat ANYONE!

When Murray is brought up none of these excuses are made.

I see his point.

I believe the OP's point is that the exact same argument can be made against Murray, and yet he's pretty well hyped by the media. Personally, I don't give a damn because most of the people I see on TV are idiots. I'm frequently amazed at how ignorant some former high-level football players can be about the game.

Do you know why the head wreaths presented to champion athletes in ancient Greece were made of Laurel cuttings? Because past glory is fleeting. Only the next race matters. They symbolized how quickly the memory of victory fades.

Bray has been great.... but still has to fight the next battle.

I agree 100% with the OP. The Facts don't lie. People say bray has not beat anyone significant, but everyone annoints murray as top QB in the SEC when he really hasnt beat anyone either.

And I can agree with that point... Unless you are trying to compare him to Murray who they all hype up as this awesome QB... who has not beaten anyone of consequence..

Just be consistent is all I ask of them, If they want to say Bray has not beat anyone.. Fine

The same holds true for Murray.. stats are above

Good point. Society thinks so little of past achievements that we don't even compile statistics about sports. Nope. No siree. Don't care a bit about past glory fading like a ring of laurel.

I mean if anyone did care, there would be books and web sites about things like statistics from past games and even seasons. Somebody may even have a TV show that replayed segments of prior glories. But since they fade so fast....

I LOVE stats. Ask anyone here who has debated Poole's with me.

But none of the comparisons between Bray and Murray matter headed into Saturday.

I'm just joking with you man. I actually liked the historical/cultural interjection.

We need a little didactic action every now and then.
