U.S. and allied warplanes destroyed an Islamic State sleeper cell near the terror group’s former stronghold of Mosul Tuesday, ending with roughly 12 jihadists dead, military officials in Baghdad say.

The strikes targeted a segment of underground bunkers and tunnels used by Islamic State, or ISIS, fighters to defend the northern Iraqi city against Iraqi troops, backed by U.S. and coalition airpower, during last year’s offensive to retake Mosul.

The recent airstrikes come amid questions whether the White House and the Pentagon will maintain its military presence in Iraq to support Baghdad’s efforts to stamp out remaining ISIS cells, or withdraw U.S. troops from the country. The Trump administration has already indicated its desire to scale back American military forces battling the Islamic State in Syria.

Members of the Iraqi military’s Directorate of Intelligence were in the midst of a clearing operation in the Husseiniya area of Mosul on Tuesday, when they came upon a group of ISIS fighters near the targeted bunker and tunnel complex, Iraqi Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasool, Iraq’s spokesman for the Joint Military Command, told al Hurrah. During the ensuring firefight, Iraqi troops killed two fighters and subsequently called for coalition air support.

The fact he was arrested for espousing a different opinion than the mainstream left-wing British government is bad enough, but to order that all media outlets be silenced over the story is a whole other level of absolute tyranny. Very reminiscent of Stalin, Mao, or even Nazi Germany. One could go so far as to say that the UK has turned into a Communist dictatorship where having a different opinion than the socio-political "norms" can land you in jail. This particular incident is not the only occurrence of imprisonment due to alternate views.

Also, I love how certain media outlets are covering the protesters of Tommy Robinson's arrest as being "far-right". Leftists now call anyone who loves freedom of speech and freedom of expression as being a "far-right" extremist, so I'm really not surprised there. Par for the course.

We're already seeing the beginning of this level of Conservative/Libertarian/Free-thinking suppression in America with the continuous censorship of alternate opinions on social media. America had better wake up, because if radical leftism completely takes hold, politically motivated arrests and sentences will become the norm in our society. Freedom of thought, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression will cease to exist under the Democrat/Socialist party.

In general, the treatment of Donald Trump throughout his campaign and presidency by the FBI (Such as the infiltration and monitoring) and DOJ, and the appointment of Mueller who's only task is to destroy Trump is only a pre-cursor of what is to come against the American People. If it's happening to those in high, important government offices, who's to say it won't happen to normal law-abiding Conservative/Libertarian citizens as well? Wake up everyone!

agreed, once the next leftist president elected, you will see more of this in our country.

the fact is, islam will continue to get super-rights which will exceed the right of all Americans. this is the trend, England will protect islam as being special. America follow and the left will applaud.

Three Killed in Suspected Terrorist Attack in Belgium | The Daily Caller

The man, wielding a knife, approached two police officers from behind, stabbed them multiple times, and then disarmed them. The suspect then proceeded to shoot and kill both police officers, as well as a 22-year-old civilian driver nearby, according to the Associated Press.

The shooter moved into a local high school, where he took a cleaning lady hostage. He was shot and killed during a standoff with authorities. While the man’s motive is unclear, he was reportedly heard shouting “Allahu Akbar,” BBC reported. Belgian prosecutors revealed that there are “indications” that the incident was a terrorist attack.
