Good read eric. I really hope we can pull some big time Offensive line recruits in...we need it oh so badly!!!

If we land Luc that would be a number one class to me.... with a few more O-line

At this point no one should doubt it and to be in the hunt with UF and USC is nothin' short of a miracle imho. If we are top 5 that's awesome work on the part of this staff, #1... well that might be BETTER than beatin' Tebows' team this year.

Hell Yeah!!!! shows what this staff can do even after a losing season and an embarassing home loss, the best kids still want to come and play, i think we land a huge class this year and of not #1 then prob #2 or #3 at least, I hope they got some more fun in store for us come closer to signing day

i just hope we don't lose a ton come signing day...

also, I am pumped about Bray. I don't think he is going to be immediate greatness (very rare for a freshman) but can't be a step down from where we are...i look forward to the fact of growth

USC #1. they are doing so well with the commits they have, and will get powell, and some other strong recruits.

Yeah, I think they get Powell too. I hope they do at least. Florida homers think they are going to pull him away from Pete in his own backyard when the kid grew up a USC fan. Amazing.

They have good reason. Powell has visited Gainesville twice on his own dime, and is going to for a third time this weekend. The UT game was supposed to be his official but he couldn't get his entire family to make it as he had planned so instead he's going for his third unofficial. His official will be against FSU. Also, his father lives in Alabama and his mother is reportedly looking for housing there. In other words, I'll be shocked if he isn't a Gator.

Either way it'll be USC, UF, or USC with the #1 class.

does that mean USC has double the chance?

Also all this "on his own dime" crap is a stupid way to gauge whether a recruit is interested in your school. Most of these kids have college funds that they are no longer going to have to use that they take trips with and pay for camps and such.

Prepare to be shocked then.

Hey man, I hear you. Carroll doesn't normally lose kids out of his own back yard, at least not athletes as talented as Powell, but all signs are point towards Gainesville.

His mother moving to the southeast, him attempting to bring his entire family to the campus this weekend, traveling to Gainesville a third time on his own dime, will travel to Gainesville again for there biggest game of the year, etc. It's been speculated that he may commit this weekend.

Like I said, I'd be shocked if UF didn't land him, but I guess time will tell. We'll have to agree to disagree on Powell.

Is it really? I wouldn't say so. Traveling across the country 3 times to visit a school you aren't interested in is kind of pointless. Especially when you're coming out of pocket. Like I said, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

No one ever said he wasn't interested in Florida. I just think he is more interested in USC.
