The Problems with Trans-ideology

It's not a direct answer when you say "whatever the governing bodies want to do." I'm not asking a question about the power and wisdom of governing bodies. I'm asking about your opinion. You haven't answered that.
It is very funny to attempt to say that "no, we do not need a blanket ban, leave it up to each sport's governing body as was done from inception through the end of 2024" is somehow not a direct answer. It's just not the same as your answer, which becomes another thing to whine about

There are close to 5,000 women swimmers that compete every year in the NCAA. She finished 5th in the nation against these swimmers.
Do better.
Your hypocritical smearing of a very courageous woman who did not want a man to be in her dressing room and stood up to discrimination for all women going forward is evident for all to see and dismiss.
And with no Lia Thomas, she's still 5th. What courage to play the poor victim and incite tons of nasty comments and abuse toward Lia Thomas all over a situation where literally nothing would change for Gaines either way, how could anyone "smear" such a courageous crybullying stand. What a hero

I didn't say she sucks at swimming, but she is complaining about the difference between 5th and T-5th. She did not get victimized
She tied for 5th with an average male swimmer who was then given the trophy. Had the guy not been in the race she would have finished tth alone. The girl who finished 9th in prelims actually has a bigger gripe since she was knocked down to the B final

There's really no way to support the inclusion of makes in this female competition

She was not a victim of discrimination, or of anything, she just finished 5th in like an 8-person race and made herself the whiniest victim ever about it
Why is this OK?

It was also about the hardware. Though Ms. Gaines and Ms. Thomas had finished the race in a tie, Ms. Gaines was handed the sixth-place trophy for photos after the race, while Ms. Thomas got to hold the fifth-place award.

Thomas got the 5th place trophy. Gaines got the 6th place. I can understand her frustration.

It's also about the locker room:

It was about the locker room, for one, where modesty is not possible in contemporary competitive swimming. The new generation of “tech suits” are so tight they take a while to put on or peel off, and often require help from a teammate.

And with no Lia Thomas, she's still 5th. What courage to play the poor victim and incite tons of nasty comments and abuse toward Lia Thomas all over a situation where literally nothing would change for Gaines either way, how could anyone "smear" such a courageous crybullying stand. What a hero
There's no tie here. Thomas got the 5th place trophy. Gaines got the 6th place trophy. That's not a tie. Let's be factual here

Oh no!!! Frustrating and terrifying!!!
While Thomas held the fifth-place trophy after the finish, Gaines held an equally-sized sixth-place trophy while waiting for another fifth-place trophy in the mail.

It is clear you have no ^%$#ing clue of her achievements in the pool and against discrimination. Keep on with your misogynist ways.

It's funny that you keep having to invent "discrimination" and "misogyny" to manufacture victimhood because the actual facts of what "happened" to her are so tame. You should somehow invoke "racism" next

No, historically that is your played card. I have to step away but keep posting however to where all can see your contempt and prejudice against women.

130 Democrat congressional representatives urge SCOTUS to side with trans athlete in Title IX legal battle

A coalition of 130 congressional Democrats filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court urging it to rule in favor of two trans athletes in forthcoming cases over the protection of women's sports and national enforcement of Title IX.

At least these Dems have an opinion on it, unlike some folks here

I said she wasn't victimized, and you started telling me how she had to be T-5th instead of alone in 5th. If you aren't claiming that's her being victimized, then I'm glad you agree with me.
There were many victims by letting a guy swim against females. There were victims in the women's locker rooms. Minimize it all you want but it should have never been allowed

She wasn’t victimized. Every actual female that’s had to compete with these mentally unstable dudes has been.

Good. The Democrats in Congress should absolutely keep catering to the fringe left on this issue.

She's 100% correct. Scholarships, which I dont know how anyone with a brain could argue against, are a huge benefit being stolen. Then walk on status after that etc.. You may not like her. And may think she's a fraud. But she's right. Why is she having to compete with this person? Why is this person on scholarship? Why can anyone claim it's fair when science says it's not? Why as a society are we choosing to bend to the 1% at the expense of 49%. Call yourself a woman and whatever. Why do women have to be disadvantaged? And they are. Your position is absurd.

You know who was victimized in that race where they tied for 5th? The woman who finished 9th in prelims and was kept out of the finals race. Why? Bc we had to cater to a man. Explain tthat person why she should just be ok. Oh and also the woman who finished 17th and couldn't compete in the race after prelims bc she was blocked out. Only top 16 then top 8

Biological males do not belong in women sports, if you think otherwise you do not have a daughter.

Women sports are for women, not men who suddenly want to be a woman by putting on a dress and make-up.

If you want to dress up as a woman by all means feel free to do so.

As usual, angrily ranting and raving only to agree that Riley wasn't victimized and to suggest that it's OTHER people (who didn't play the victim professionally or whine to high heaven) that should be the ones with a gripe, if any. She saw an opportunity to enrich herself (at Lia Thomas's direct expense, btw) and took it because she's a selfish bully

Did Lia Thomas not also choose to be enriched at the direct expense of all other female competitors? Was that not also the act of a selfish bully?

When did standing up for a group that was done wrong become such the bad thing to do?

A trans woman participating in a swim meet is bullying? Be serious. Riley Gaines didn't "stand up" for anyone but literally herself, because she didn't get to hold a 5th place trophy immediately. There's no secret noble cause behind it

Also, congrats, you took like 12 trans women competing in NCAA sports (within each sport's rules about hormones etc. and largely not winning anything) and banned them from all sports entirely, mainly so Riley Gaines can enrich herself. What a good thing to do. Having the entire country harass a tiny minority group is what good guys do
