Why isn't Rachel on this list of world champion sprinters? What am I missing?Cycling had a couple of good examples.
Rachel McKinnon (born Rhys McKinnon) transition at 29, picked up cycling in her early early 30s, and within a couple of years started destroying women who had been riding their entire lives. She set the world record in the Masters 200m Sprint and won back-to-back UCI Women's Sprint World Championships.
Austin Killips similarly transitioned after puberty, began riding after her transition, and won a UCI stage event in New Mexico. She also won a single stage mountain race in North Carolina by a whopping 5 minutes (which is totally insane for a single stage). We'll never know what she might have gone on to do because UCI decided to pursue sanity and kicked biological males out of their women's races.
