Here is the actual Reuters article with data again.

They clearly show, and state outright, that the numbers are “surging”. But don’t worry - it’s just due to “growing recognition”… nothing else at play here.

WTF?! I missed this the first time I saw this data -

Note: Massachusetts and Washington include data for patients between 0 and 17 years of age. California, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania include data for patients between 9 and 17 years of age.

And apparently California isn’t even counting there 6, 7, & 8 year olds.

I’m sure it’s just that acceptance of trans people doubled in one year. You know, just like how the I changed suicide rates are due to a lack of acceptance.

It doesn’t have to make sense, you just have to repeat it.

This is just in LA county.

. Outdoor soccer has the highest participation rate among youth ages 6-17 in Los Angeles County, with 29% of children having played in the past 12 months. Swimming (27%), basketball (26%), baseball (23%), and running (17%) follow.

Since the early days of marketing smart business people used the odd, macabre and fringe as a marketing tool. Tik tok and other social media platforms have become the sideshows.

People like Dylan, whatever his or her name, is just another side show. It's basically the TV show from the movie "Idiocracy", iirc called "Ouch My Balls"..... Talk about irony.

The point is it's strategic marketing. I know they never expected the backlash, I honestly think they felt their main demographic would never hear about this stunt .... Boy were they wrong. We will see how it works long term.
