Hernandez, a top contender in the girls triple jump and long jump, could end up standing on the medal podium next to the athlete who finishes second in the overall standings. Both would receive a first-place medal.

No girl deserves to have her moment taken from them by a boy. It doesn't matter how you try and sugar coat it or what kind of sprinkles you use, you've either got to duplicate a spot on the podium(which devalues the placement pertinence) or push a deserving girl off the podium.

Cali is still going about this a$s-backwards and trying to placate girl athletes.

A duplicate medal would be created to accomodate the two athletes.

Hernandez(trans) would receive a medal based on her finish in the overall standings while the other athletes will receive medals based on their finish in the standings excluding Hernandez's results

Hernandez shouldn't be a part of the overall standings.

Cali can placate trans athletes in non contact sports with participation trophies all they want. I still don't believe they should participate in contact sports(softball, lacrosse, basketball,....), stand on the podium, or be considered part of the overall record.

He would have finished 4th in the 13-14yo division at my sons last club meet. Those are middle schoolers

Edit: looked it up and that 55.75 would have been 27th in the boys Florida state middle school championships. It would have won the girls event by .4sec

He (Trump) did beat a couple of girls in Harris and Walz so there is something to this observation.

Joking aside the dudes in girl's sports is one of those things every sane person thinks is nuts regardless of party. It's a political win for the right because basically 100% of people that fit that description are hard left.
