Go to any other stadium and its rap music or something that keeps the energy going. Furthermore the different colored jersey thing is more proof of this. These kids get as excited about how cool they look on the field as they do about the game so let them. Bring out black jerseys and helmets and pants. Who cares if it's not tradition it pumps the players up. Just look how quick they jumped out on the Blackout on Halloween that night agains south Carolina. How often do you see oregon start out slow they have a new combo of jersey every game If we want new results of winning we need to let our tradition go and follow the rest of the nation and change our view. It's time to break from the old and start a new tradition of winning football games in the modern era of football.

Thank you. I was shocked at how many times they showed Peyton throwing a touchdown pass against Florida. So we show plays from games we lose. It's sad.

It's kind of like saying we as fans expect you to be as good as we were 15-20 years ago. Like not a lot has changed since then...

Oregon gets real excited until they play a top of the line SEC team, then they just get beat. Maybe if black uniforms are the answer, we should order new tennis shoes for them too. Cause every kid knows you can run faster and jump higher in new shoes. A strong defense and running game are necessary to win in the sec. Look at LSU and Bama. You are not going to beat those teams with gimmicks. They don't care what color their opponents jerseys are they will run the ball down their throats.

Never said fulmer wasn't a good coach. You are putting words in my mouth. The game passed him by and it was time to move on when he let him go. And I respect our tradition as much as anyone. My uncle was part of our 67 national title team. However times change and programs change. We need to move on and re establish our program. Whatever coach we have needs to have the power to run the program the way they want to. The boosters and alumni need to relinquish control and let the coach have the power of the direction of the program. Maybe the reason we can't hire a coach is cause we don't give them power. That's why we pay Dooley 1.2 million cause he is just a face and has no power. And I'm not saying we have to have black jerseys but if the coach wants to do that to energize his team let him do it. We need to break our 5 to 6 year tradition of losing and make the adjustments to win. And that is not running the ball up the middle.

UT's first uniforms were black and tell LSU and Bama you can't win in the SEC running up the middle.

By the way the players are not paying the music any mind b/c they are in the game or talking with the coaches while Kenny is playing. I guess if you never played you would think the cheerleaders are a distraction too.

I gotta remember to watch that cheesy call-in show on myvlt tonight. I can't wait to hear the calls! "That dang bray and Dooley is bettin on the other teams!" "we need fulmer back right na!

The black jerseys did pump up the team against SC, and country music doesn't really pump you up. They aren't going to make recruits want to come here so it doesn't even matter.

Original post is retarded. Were losing because we play Kenny chesney and wear our traditional orange uniforms? That is probably the dumbest thing I've ever read. Our great tradition brings great players in. We won 5 games last year and ended up with a top 15 class. Tradition is not the problem. Winning programs start with the head coach.

People keep talking about needing a running back. The running game is not the problem. Defense wins championships. If teams can't score, they can't beat you and our d got gashed last night. We scored enough points to win the game. Neal looked better last night than he has all season. We simply gave up too many big plays on d. If we get the problems on defense fixed, we still will 9 games. The big runs that Gillislee and Burton had last night, they were virtually untouched. And Driskel played the game of his life last night. Yes, we need a premiere running back, but that's not why we lost the game.

Bingo, same old colored uniforms and smash mouth football that Bear Bryant and Gene Stallings used to win championships. And same old music too...Sweet Home Alabama :popcorn:
