Here's my overall "take" on the big picture for the UT-Cal game.

I guess I'm just saying that, given the enormous disparity last year in talent, why would anyone diverge from the presumption that UT ought to win another yawner? Could they lose it? Sure. But if you are making predicitons, how do you go with Cal until they prove they can hang with the likes of UT?

IMO most coach who have a couple of weeks to prepare to play Fulmer have an opportunity to outcoach him and win.

Fulmer's 0-2 in the SEC champ game, and 2-5 in bowl games this decade. He's never had a lot of success opening against Florida when Florida was playing cupcakes to prepare for UT (except for Zook's stint).

I don't rule out Fulmer being outcoached and losing to a weaker team. Though I pick UT to win a close one.

Its not niceness. Its reality.

I am worried about Tebow. This whole new throwing motion and his performance has been a little off in the preseason ... I think he'll be okay by 9/15.

Funny you mention that. Just today at lunch I was remarking that Florida's traditional opening against two weak teams is really a Godsend this year. That 120 minutes to work out the kinks in the spread option and to give the defense some real-game experience as we head to UT is pretty important this year.

Law i agree with what you say.The baised media doesn't think so.I would be worried a little about tebow too.He is the man now and has to play everydown.I wouldn't be surprised if we both start slow on offense this year.Just too many unknowns.

Key word being a "little." I am concerned, but with the two easy scrimmages to kick things off, he's got some critical time to work on things, both his motion and the offense.
