The players quit this year

I hate to be the one to tell you but this team deserved to be bood at. They are all time bad ! That is part of life when you dont do your job or meet expectations someone is going to express their displeasure in some way. When you are big time athletes you get bood . This team is soft both in body and in mind and that showed its self as the season progressed or regressed however you want to say it

"deserved". They deserve to play in full stadiums, in front of loud crowds.

If you don't think that is a selling point of coming to UT, then somebody is doing it wrong. For our new HC to not lie he has to prep a recruit for being booed at Neyland.

Too bad we can't say, "We don't boo our own at Tn.".

You want to start handing out participation trophies. Lets not hurt anyones feelings. I guess next will stop keeping score. WE are to soft thats what our biggest problem is. Jones was over sensitive and a team often takes on the personality of their coach. Your complaining about fans booing Geesh !!

Jones should have been let go after the Bama game . we would have had an off week for interm head coach and staff to figure out how to continue the rest of the season. Look we held on to Jones and it resulted in one more win. Might have been different if we had cut the head off the snake sooner.

Yes I am. I think it's a coward move to boo from the stands. Mob mentality. How many would boo one of them to their face? Cowards boo from the stands.

There is a difference between playing hurt and playing injured. How many times did we see players laying on the field, then being attended; walk off the field and then re-emerge a few plays later? Good for them, but I think this is a question of toughness. I did not go out of a game unless I was injured. You cannot say the same about most of the current Vol roster. I am sure that some of these guys are injured, but what I see is a lot of them would rather be somewhere else. The next coach needs to instill toughness, something that is severely lacking with this group.

Who do I fault for what we have witnessed the past 10 years? The leadership at the University of Tennessee: Athletics board, University President, Chancellor, Athletics Director - all of these. Most of them are not Tennessee people and are concerned only with a paycheck or the dollars coming into the university. Get rid of the politically correct diversity first, gender equity crowd and restore the university to leadership by Tennesseans. This is the real issue.

I thought the players quit at half-time during the LSU game, not sure why that happened the way it did. The players should have been having a good time in the rain with little to lose and I thought they just didn't come out with any type of energy to play.

I thought it was a tough close game as well, well, up to the point the rain started coming down in buckets. A little disappointed they didn't come out with more fire and made more of a game out of it.

I will no longer reply to your post. Cowards are people that complain about people booing and other stuff that protects people from the reality of life. That would be you BYE BYE

They are only human. For a second year they suffer a rash of injuries that seem epidemic. The first big season ending injuries were as significant in the loss of leadership as the talent. D Kirkland, C Hall, Todd Kelly and J Jennings. Every single game seemed to be a new low point, they just kept getting worse every game. At some point the moral is going to break. That's what happened to this team, they just broke. Not ripping 18 - 21 year old's, like I said, the're only human and young humans at that.

As for how talented we are or not, we don't have a clue. After a second straight season of suffering about two dozen significant injuries, it's almost impossible to judge how much pure talent you're going to recover. The biggest part of rebuilding this team is going to be getting people back healthy. And that means mentally and emotionally as well as physically.

One last thing. I really do believe that we are in the darkness before the dawn. I don't want our guys feeling sad but mad. Every returning player needs to remember how they feel right now after having their will broken. Worst to first turn a rounds do happen in sports and all the elements are here.

You are wrong. It is not cowardly to boo from the stands. If you see that the coaches are making mistakes, or if you see players in the game just standing around not doing their jobs, it is OK to voice your displeasure in the way of boos. Just to let them know that there is accountability when you coach and play for Tennessee.

Or else don't charge for tickets.
