This is a negative counterpart to the other thread. What plays absolutely disgust you in TN football history? Without a doubt it's the ending of the 2001 GA game. I still get sick thinking about it. The last 30 seconds of that game is some of the most pathetic defense I've ever seen.

i second that cory anderson fumble.. and also the tebow to harvin 70 yard pass from 7 yards deep in his own endzone. I was there and it was brutal

I agree with the top 3, I'll also throw in the phantom Jabar Gaffney catch and the Arian Foster fumble against Penn St. I drove all the way to Tampa to sit in between Penn St fans and listen to their stupid cheers only to lose the game like that, I was sick.

the 4th and 1 play against FLorida in 99 was pretty bad.

the david palmer 2 pt conversion is up there.

FL scoring a TD on 4th and 12 from the UT 40 in the 1st qtr of the 96 game sucked.

the retrun for a TD in the Memphis game in 96 was pretty bad.

That's a good one, but can you really take it to the house when it is pretty much given to you in the house?

i saw all those 02-06 plays LIVE, ahhhhh that agony , but in general during that time, TN usually won on road trips

Hahaha....that play had disaster written all over it. It should almost be a rule that anytime a QB is almost sacked and throws an underhanded pass that it should be taken back for a TD.

In no particular order

-the blocked kick and soon after the fg that gave alabama the victory in 1990

-jabar gaffney's "td catch" in the 2000 fla game

-david greene and company scoring with 6 seconds left in the 2001 georgia game

-jabari davis's fumble and georgia's recovery that resulted in a 90 yard touchdown as time expired in the 1st half to give georgia the lead 20-7

-memphis's sorry excuse for a punt return that won an espy in 1996 against us

Gaffney. I still get mad every time I hear that name.

Not that the call was his fault, he's just permanently attached to some really angry part of my being because of that moment in time.

Yeah, I was reading your posts about this play and that play and I saw "Gaffney" and "the catch" and I threw up a little. So I guess that's the one for me.

others to add to the list:

-ainge's interception in the sec champioship game last year that resulted in a pick 6 for the tigers.

-ut being stoppped just short of a 2 point conversion late in the 1992 south carolina game

-south carolina nailing the winning field goal in 2005

-the jamarcus russell fumble that wasn't called late in the game against lsu in '06. we had a great chance of winning that game had that play been called correctly.

I had forgot about the Jamarcus Russell fumble they didn't call. That was a joke!

I also agree with these. They all still make me sick.

-Gaffney's NO Td catch in 2000

-UGA scoring with 6 seconds left in the 2001 georgia game

-Jabari Davis's fumble and georgia's recovery that resulted in a 90 yard touchdown as time expired in the 1st half to give georgia the lead 20-7

The only game I've ever seen in person at Auburn was in 1990. We blew a 17 point 4th qu. lead, and then missed a 35 yd. FG in the final seconds. We tied, but it felt like a win for Auburn.

J. Davis didn't fumble; Clausen accidentally hit the fullback in the hip with the ball before he ever handed it off to the tailback.

Yep, that was a rough one. If I'm not mistaking, I believe GA went on to roll in that one.
