Did they really give us "champions" T-shirts and hats? for a regular season game?

I get that tonight was a big deal, but I hope it doesn't get into our players head.

Let's WIN OUT.. and the real stuff.

Go Vols!

This was the football equivalent to an early season BB tournament to me. So, yeah, Tee shirts and rings seem like an appropriate thing.

This was not a typical game. The atmosphere was totally different. The hype was totally differently. So I get the champions thing but do admit it all seemed strange.

I just hope that this is the first of 4 for the year.

That's awesome. We dominated from start to finish.....well we did win. Lots to learn from, and lots to be happy about too.

I would be interested to hear from those that made it to the game about the view from the stands.

I wish I could have made it, no matter what the answer.

Plan A.

See y'all in Tampa.

You must be a miserable person. Why does so many have to throw water on everything? Not sure but I think we won!

Yea I'm miserable because giving champion rings to a team for a week 2 win rubs me wrong.

You must be a ****ing idiot well because I see your conclusions.

It's easy to judge.

I was trying to bite my tongue but I'm with ya. The trophy/ring/confetti thing seems ridiculous for a week 2 game. It's not the same as the beer barrel and all of the other rivalry traditions. I'm actually a little bit embarrassed that we did that after beating non-ranked Va Tech.

After that crap, anyone saying rushing the field after beating Florida (who has beaten us 11 years in a row) is "silly" and that we should "act like we've been there before" can kiss my @$$. If you girls can dance around in confetti after beating unranked Va Tech, you'll find me swinging from the goal post on September 24th.

"We" didn't do that. This wasn't a game put on by Tennessee. The people who "did" it were Bristol Motor Speedway. You know the people who paid both teams 4 million to come play the game. This was their show.

I have no problem with it. Kids on both sides played hard and fought tough. Receiving some mementos bestowed by Bristol for this memorable occasion, good times.
