1st pick six: We had a receiver wide open on a deep post in the middle of the field. TD if a good throw is made. Instead JG throws a terrible out route against man coverage.

2nd Pick Six: Eric Gray is wide open sitting over the middle, with plenty of room to run and pick up a 1st down. Instead JG forces it deep into triple coverage.

No excuses for a 5th year senior who has 4 years of experience as the starter to make such poor reads.

He should never start another game again, or play at all for that matter.

I can’t say I won’t watch another game if JG trots out to start, but I will seriously consider it.
After this showing, I won’t bother watching next week no matter who is under center. I’d bet the locker room is pretty down on themselves after this one, and I’m not sure what can be done or said to light a fire under their ass for Alabama coming to town.

It's "push the ball down the field" like Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt or "take what the defense gives you " like Cutcliffe. Saying "push the ball down the field" tells the QB to force the ball into coverage.

I considered it, then decided that I won’t watch JG take another snap at UT. It’s really not his fault, I think he’s playing to the best of his ability. The problem is that it’s not enough to win. At this point, it’s on Pruitt for playing him and the failure of this staff to develop a serviceable QB.

Covid could be our best friend as far as next weeks game is concerned. We need 35 positive tests this week

I'm not sure what they'll do for Bama, but you have a bye week following the game and Arkansas next. I'd continue with practice obviously, but I'm having 2 scrimmages in there if I can. Out of that comes your starter for Arkansas, and JG isn't an option.

Teams don't play running backs with fumblitis.......they become linebackers. Pruitt preaches taking care of the ball, his QB hasn't for two games and has a very checkered history with decision making. JG's tenure should be over.....QB2 at best, but that's it, he's done. We need to move forward now, its past due. I know it's tough to tell someone it's over, but that's why you're paid as coaches, and you just can't keep trotting out someone who's only side is down, and is consistently your #1 liability.

He should never play another snap. I will not watch another minute of UT Football with JG under center - period, end of story!

Bama will name their score next week.

Im gonna be satisfied hitting a trail or doing a road trip with the little lady next week.

Sheesh, man! He’s only played like 1,000 snaps of meaningful football in an orange uniform. And he’s had, like, several different OCs that force him to relearn the English language each time a new one comes in. Some of them probably even made him watch film and told him to make sure he gets the ball to the guys in orange. Give the guy a break already!

Just watched the picks it was all JG fault. The play calling is good he just is not making the right decision with the ball. He is 5th year senior he should no better by now. Play the other quarterbacks.

If Maurer as a true Soph were making these mistakes... I could take it as long as he improved. If HB were making these mistakes... I could take it believing he would improve.

This isn't a Fr or Soph. This is a 5th year Sr with 3 plus years of starting and playing experience. These are things that have nothing to do with a particular "system" or OC or coaching change. These are basics that should be overcome by now.

IMHO, this is the product of Chaney trying to force JG to speed his reads up.... to get the ball to the receiver on time. At some point, you have to just admit he can't do it and move on.

Sad to say that JG couldnt find the middle if it were a vagina and he was at the Mouse's Ear

As much as I hate to say it, if they start JG, I'll find something else to do. Mentally, he's done and I just can't take watching him anymore. I've missed games before, so I'll survive.

Were you at the game today?

It was eye opening to me when I started going to games last year and seeing the entire field how badly JG sees the field.

Missed the whole game today. Saw the box score which was enough for me. 10/10 would recommend

If I still lived in Knoxville and drank this would be a Mouse’s Ear kind of night . Followed by walking through a car wash and 2 shots of penicillin.
